We are a couple with a young child, 3 years old. We had a wonderful experience with Kamal. He arranged to pick us up and drop us off at our riad in Fes, and we spent the afternoon in the village with him, his family, and other guests from his guesthouse. After a good lunch on the panoramic terrace of his guesthouse, Kamal told us about the village and its traditions, sharing many fascinating insights. The village visit was truly enriching — it allowed us to meet local families and learn about different lifestyles, experiences, and even challenges they face. Kamal has been an excellent guide. Highly recommended!

Moment rare et chaleureux passé en compagnie de Kamal, de sa femme Jalila et de deux cousins allemands. Discussions passionnantes comme si nous nous connaissions depuis longtemps. Kamal partage avec passion ses connaissances encyclopédiques de la région et Jalila, véritable cordon bleu incarne à elle seule la gentillesse extrême des marocains. La maison est décorée avec goût, les chambres sont claires, spacieuses, fonctionnelles et pleines de charme. J’espère vraiment que nous pourrons revenir car nous avons encore beaucoup à partager …et puis nous voudrions embrasser le bébé qu’ils attendent.

De kamer is mooi ingericht, maar aan de kleine kant, een stoel of zeteltje ontbreekt. De badkamer is zeer klein, met onvoldoende warm water. De eetruimte is klein en donker, vooral als je er met meerdere mensen zit. Wij betaalden 69 euro per nacht, wat te veel is voor deze kamer. 50 euro is een meer correcte prijs. Het dakterras is niet netjes, wel mooi uitzicht. Het dorpje zelf is vies, overal zeer veel vuilnis. Het diner is veel te duur, 265 dirham, voor wat je krijgt: soep, een paar hapjes, een klein hoofdgerecht (onvoldoende voor mijn man) en een koekje als dessert, samen met water uit de kraan met een rare smaak. Elders hebben we beter gegeten voor 100 dirham. Matig ontbijt. De privé parking is eigenlijk gewoon een terrein aan de rand van het dorp. Ik denk niet dat de 3 euro per nacht die we hiervoor moesten betalen, aan een parkeerwachter werden gegeven, omdat die er nooit was. Kamal hoort zichzelf graag praten, waardoor dit op een gegeven moment niet meer aangenaam is. Hij lijkt ons meer uit te zijn op snel en makkelijk geld verdienen dan op goede service bieden.

Nous sommes allés à Bhalil en mai 2016. J’ai envoyé immédiatement un long courrier à KamalChaoui pour lui dire à quel point nous avions été séduits, courrier que je n’arrive pas à vous transmettre. Un souvenir merveilleux à tout point de vue. Nous avons rencontré des personnes toutes différentes qui étaient dans la même maison d’hôtes, maison qui a un charme fou. Comme son propriétaire d’ailleurs, qui a une foule de chose à raconter. Ce serait formidable de pouvoir y retourner et séjourner au moins une semaine.

Buona sistemazione molto silenziosa e tranquilla a circa mezz'ora da Fes. Camera con bagno confortevole, letto eccellente, ottima colazione. La struttura non è raggiungibile in auto : il parcheggio ( all'aperto e a pagamento molto contenuto) si trova a circa 120 metri . L' eventuale cena è da prenotare : il costo è di 23 euro /pax ,non certo basso rispetto alla media , ma di ottima qualità .

Kamal and Jalila are warm and welcoming hosts to their lovely home. Such excellent food, so much so that i would love to have spent time doing a cooking workshop with Jalila. Kamal is a friendly, energetic and knowledgeable man, passionate about the fascinating village of Bhalil and its history and customs, and also a superb guided tour of Sefrou. He has hugely diverse interests which made for an extremely interesting visit. My brief stay with them was one of the highlights of my Moroccan trip.

We had a wonderful 2 night trip to this guesthouse. Kamal and Jalila were incredibly hospitable and Jalila is a wonderful cook. She prepared the best Aubergine dish I have ever tasted! Breakfasts were plentiful and served on the terrace on the rooftop, o relooking the town of Bhalil and the surrounding mountains. We took 3 day tours with Kamal and he picked us up and dropped us off at our riad in Fes, before and after the trip. A hire car would also work well. There is parking close by. All in all a great experience.

Lors de mon séjour j'ai été accueillie avec une grande chaleur par le personnel de cet endroit magnifique. La vue depuis la terrasse était absolument magnifique, offrant un panorama à couper le souffle. Dans l'ensemble, mon expérience a été excellente et je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous ceux qui recherchent un séjour mémorable dans la ville historique "BHALIL" . Ne manque pas l'occasion de le découvrir par toi-même !
