Just got back from our friends wedding at Tickton It’s been wonderful, The venue is beautiful and the room we stayed in was so comfortable ,clean and accommodating! The bed was exceptionally comfortable. This place is full of character and has all the special little touches, even though we are 3 hours hours away we would love to return. Special thank you to lady on reception she was lovely, helpful and polite

Lovely afternoon tea at Tickton Grange. It was myself, a friend, my aunt and grandma who are both in their 90s. The afternoon tea was plentiful and delicious - I must say it is better than Betty’s, in our opinion. One diner has some dietary requirements so I emailed them over ahead of time and everything was catered for perfectly for her. We sat in the dining room in the bay window looking out on the perfectly preened garden, which was lovely. We have sat in the library before which is as nice, but felt the higher table in the dining room was better for my aunt and grandma. All of the servers were very friendly and made us feel special. The young lady that greeted us was lovely (I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name!), Eileen couldn’t do enough for us, and a man came over to welcome us, who I assume was the owner. We all felt very special and comfortable. There is also a very nice day time menu if afternoon tea isn’t your thing! We are already looking at our diaries to arrange a date to come back!

The welcome we received from all staff, including the owners, members of the Whymant family, was a very warm one, our bedroom (no 4) was cosy with an ambient temperature for the cold weather outside. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent with lovely toiletries. The Bloomsbury Dinner menu was varied, seasonal, the food excellent and on a par with some Michelin Starred restaurants. The Afternoon Teas looked lovely and appeared to be very well received! The drinks menu and wine choice were good and catered for most tastes. The standards and values of Tickton Grange Hotel are high but at the same time the atmosphere is relaxed and with very personable staff. We would thoroughly recommend.

The staff were excellent from entering reception to leaving nothing was too much trouble. The room clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and served with a smile, had the Bloomsbury menu choice brilliant served by caring staff who were attentive but without being intrusive, very professional. The place is so relaxing. Will be back again and soon.

We chose Tickton for a morning meeting for work and was greeted by the lovely Eileen who is a familiar face on our usual visits to Tickton. We had such a relaxing time drinking the lovely tea which is always replenished without even asking that we stayed for lunch. The lunch menu has changed since my last visit and there are some lovely additional options. I opted for the coronation chicken sandwich with the gorgeous rosemary salted chips which were delicious. We also finished with a scone with cream and jam which was lovely and warm and freshly baked. We love Tickton for their relaxed atmosphere and lovely welcoming fire in the lounge area. Looking forward to our next visit

Perfect place for good food, good service and beautiful surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble at Tickton and everyone goes that extra mile. Cosy by the fire today with the rain pouring outside really was a relaxing treat. We are so lucky to have Tickton Grange on our doorstep- a traditionally great establishment- don't miss it you will not be disappointed ❤️

Attended a Christmas event here with a family member just before Christmas. I had paid for 2 food vouchers, however, when being served female staff member refused to allow us to have a second meal, even though we presented her with food voucher. She was rude. She also allowed a man to jump the queue. I attach a photo of the staff member in question. She is on the left. We were made to feel as if we were a damn nuisance by Tickton Grange staff. They are unhelpful, rude and contemptuous. This is not the first time they have mistreated us in this way. As the staff are hostile I would not recommend Tickton Grange as a venue. They absolutely ruin your experience. If it was not for guests like me this venue, like many others, would go out of business. Customers are the life blood of any business. This reality seems to be lost on Tickton Grange's staff. They desperately require a crash course in rudimentary customer care skills.
