Tub was leaking at the spigot, the toilet paper roll was nearly ripped from the wall on the one side, a section of carpet was missed for vacuum. Staff was good. Lots of riff raff around though, can’t say it’s the hotels fault. Litter all over the place. Room was in need of an update and replacement lots of evidence of past water leaks. But overall it was a great price for a suite, not filthy or nothing, room could just use a deep clean and minor repairs. I don’t lose sleep over it due to the budget.

I didn't expect such a dumpy place and should have left after seeing the state of the elevator, hallways and room. YUCK! After 2 nights in this dirty, worn out place, I woke up with clusters of itchy bug bites. I let the front desk know and the women told me I needed a medical report to write "bed bugs" on the incident report. So, 2 hours and $150.00 later it was confrmed by the doctor at the walk-in clinic, that my 18 bites were bed bugs. We had a very unpleasant stay at Sonesta ES in Allentown from garbage in the halls to keys that don't work to stained carpets, broken doors and Bed Bugs!

At arrival, the broken security door to our wing was propped open with a rock and bags of garbage was piled in the hall. The first room had a obscene odour (pet urine or vomit?!) that hit you as soon as the door was opened. The second room didn't stink but was old and tired with drawers and doors that didn't open and items missing. The entire place feels dirty and in need of disinfecting. Another huge issue is that the cards and readers don't work and we got repeatedly locked out of buildings for 3 days. FRUSTRATING and inexcusable!! We wanted to move out.

+ place is HUGE! easily the largest hotel/motel room ive been to (ive been to around 10)
+ The room i used had a full sized refrigerator, sink, and microwave
+ i stayed 2 nights and both nights when i went outside, there was a police car patroling the area
+- Cheap and affordable, but bear in mind its basically a motel (you can see your car in front of your hotel window)
~the couches were very scratched up and used
~the shower faucet kept dripping even when turned off
~The only thing seperating you from someone with ill-intent, is a thin large window, kind of unnerving. I looked it up and it seems that bedrooms in PA legally have to have full sized escrow windows in case of fire, so this isn't the hotels fault. Just be sure to ask for a room not on the first floor.
+Room smelled fine (you have no idea how often hotel rooms have a musk smell to them, but this one did not)
