Place was Ok, room quite dark, shower incredibly hot, 10 mins walk from the beach, staff not very helpful,

We do not usually return to the same hotel twice but Jasminn is definitely the exception. We visited in December 2023 and booked again with TUI without hesitation. The hotel is located close to the village of Betalbetim. There are many shops ATMs and fantastic restaurants within walking distance like Cota Cozinha, Kingslee and Fish Ka serving delicious authentic Goan food and extremely reasonably priced. The hotel food is exceptional as well. They also provide live evening entertainment. There is a shuttle service to the nearby beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our room in the main building on the first floor had recently been renovated. The shower in particular was excellent. There’s also a minibar😁. We stayed over Xmas and New Year. The parties over this period were brilliant. Set in the garden of the hotel with no mosquitos! The food for both events was exceptional. Hot and cold starters with a huge selection of mains and desserts. And a Tandoor!! Wedding reception quality. Would return just for these experiences! The best part of the hotel is its staff who go above and beyond. From the owner who comes over from Mumbai regularly, the GM, Tanmoy, to ALL the team (too many names to list), they provide the best possible service. For us it was from home to home. I have never stayed in such a filthy hotel in my life. We found black mould in all the rooms on the walls and particularly in the bathrooms. the refrigerators were un-usable with contamination. When the hotel management was asked to clean the rooms they made a half hearted attempt to clean the rooms. We had to show the staff how to clean and even then the rooms were only just habitable. The swimming pool had serious safety issues that were highlighted to the management and then ignored by them. The whole site is running with rats. I don't recommend anyone staying at this hotel ever. and I would also recommend that any pictures of hotel rooms on their web are carefully examined as the pictures of the ”Martins Comfort” hotel are completely misleading. This resort has the potential to be good as it looks well, has a decent pool area and the rooms are well proportioned. There is just something missing in the fine detail of running a resort. Breakfast was decent but we found dinners disappointing, particularly the risotto which was delivered cold and then seemingly microwaved when we pointed this out. We attended a Sao Joao pool celebration which was a bit disappointing, it supposedly started at 12.30 but decorations were still going up at 1pm. Most disappointing was when we arrived very early due to a night train arriving four hours early but we’re not offered as much as a glass of water and when we asked if our bags could be stored whilst we purchased breakfast we were told no and just to eat poolside. Saying that most other staff we dealt with were friendly.

Tourist spots are concentrated. The restaurant at the hotel was delicious and I used it many times during my stay. The room was well cleaned and clean. The family was happy.
