A pub and hotel all in one. We had the studio or 'flat' on the top floor. The room was comfortable, although a slightly unusual configuration with one internal bedroom having a lock on the door.
The main problem was the shower, which was either red hot or freezing cold, with low water pressure.
The B&B only included a continental breakfast which was fine. It cost a £9 upgrade to have a full English which we didn't try.
The pub was lively with a good atmosphere. Beds were reasonably comfortable.

The bathroom is huge, as big as the room, the bath water is warm and strong, close to the train station, the town is surrounded by mountains and the sea, there is nature and culture, and there is a large campsite, so I decided to stay for a day

Located on edge of town next to railway station.
Nice hotel with friendly staff.
A really nice bar to have drinks in.
Breakfast area ticks all the boxes, nicely cooked. . 👍🏻
Rooms are clean with tea/coffee facilities and complimentary bottles of water.
The room floor slopes slightly which caused a few 'staggers'
Defo go back.

This is a very historical hotel. The one-bedroom suite I chose is in the attic. It has two bedrooms and can accommodate five people. I found it to be okay, but there was something wrong with the shower, which was hot and cold and not very easy to use. The surrounding environment is good.

The positives: Very convenient for the mainline station and ten minutes' walk to the town centre. The bed was great and the bathroom fine, albeit the shower could have had more punch. The room itself was a tad small: glad there was only me as you'll trip over each other, if you're a couple and trying to get ready at the same time. Staff were friendly and helpful. The downsides: Really overpriced for a pub with rooms: as others have written this is charging Hilton prices. There is no storage space, other than some hangers. You'll notice this is you're here for more than overnight. It does serve food but stops serving really early and the menu is predictable English pub C 1990. The good news is that a quick scud around the town shows several really good options for eating and drinking. The room rate includes breakfast but, as others have discovered, this is a continental version, for which read cereals, supermarket croissants and some fruit. A cooked option is available, but costs extra.

The hotel is excellently positioned for the station - should really be called the Station Hotel. We booked 3 rooms - one double and two singles. The double was very good with a large bathroom. However whilst not expecting the two singles to be particularly large we were shocked to find them not much larger than a prison cell, and with no outside window but a skylight high in the ceiling and subsequently no outside views. One room had a pole to open the window, but unless you are over 6 feet will need to stand on the bed to open it, and the other you needed to call reception to ask for assistance to open it. This was not made clear when booking. I believe this is totally unacceptable and the hotel really should make this clear at the time of booking.

The hotel was not welcoming. The single rooms offered were windowless storage cupboards. I can't understand how the hotel is allowed to market these as rooms. It asks questions about its integrity. I took a financial hit and went elsewhere.
