Ringing church bells
If you like to sleep in, this is not the place for you. The Church just next door rings it bells every half hour from 8 am. Other than that it’s nothing special but also nothing really to complain about.

I appreciated the area of the accomodation, which was well connected to the city centre in Berlin by underground. I had some trouble at the arrival, because unfortunately my flight had been delayed and I had to check-in at the restaurant in front of the pension. The staff did not speak English and I did not speak German, so I was a little bit in trouble, however finally everything was fine. The staff was however very kind, they tried to sort out any problem. The room was basic, but clean. Unfortunately it is located in a building where the hall is not always clean, since maybe it is shared also with the people living in that palace. However for the price and the good transportation I would consider it anyway for a short stay.

Hotel located in the Samariterstrasse area, near the metro station. The reception closes after 7pm and you have to take the room keys and pay at the bistro located opposite, where they don't speak English. The website through which I booked only indicated to notify in case of arrival after 8pm, but without specifically indicating this aspect. Due to a delayed flight I called to notify, but the receptionist didn't speak English, so we had to write to each other using a translator. The room, with private bathroom, was simple, but clean. Being in an apartment building, people who are not guests of the hotel also pass by. Sometimes the lobby smelled bad. Overall, if you have few expectations it remains a solution, but it is closer to a hostel than a hotel.
