At check-in the room safe was not functioning, the reception (poor German speaking lady, with Eastern European background, she didn't speak English at all) could only say that the next day someone would be able to look. And actually the problem is known, there are a lot of people who accidentally close the safe before they leave, and then a technician has to come in. The next day it was resolved. Asked why that is not checked at guest change, the caretaker replied that that was too much work. The hot water didn't work either, we had to wait 24 hours for that too. Breakfast was not served, while there was a large panflet on the reception desk suggesting otherwise. Price of the room was 200 euros per night (total 3 nights) then things like this should just work. Furthermore, the hotel was tatty, jaded, that could also be better for this price.
