This hotel is spectacular! It’s beautiful and clean. We will stay here every time we come through. The beds were great and comfy. The breakfast was not that good, but everything else made up for it. It’s in such a quiet area, close to some great antique shops in Amish country!

This hotel is the cleanest and nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! My sister and I stayed for a weekend getaway and were impressed with not only the hotel's cleanliness, but the spaciousness and tidiness of our room. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and fresh with many food varieties to choose from, and the reception and food areas were clean, with much attention to detail. Our bathroom was large, with a beautiful walk-in shower. Housekeeping was amazing, cleaning and providing fresh lines for our room each day without our asking. We highly recommend Berlin Grande Hotel for all getaways!

One of the loudest rooms we’ve stayed in. If you’re put in room 213 ask for a different room. There is no soundproofing in the walls. We could hear normal conversations in room 216 with doors closed. Mechanical room is across the hall and starts making a clanking noise at 6 am. Just there for 1 night and who wants to pack up and move rooms at 11 pm when you’re ready for bed.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. When I called to reserve a room, I was offered a first time visitor’s discount. We had a deluxe queen room with balcony. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchenette area is a nice added touch. Pool was on the smaller side but there were only a couple of people there, so it did not matter. Breakfast was decent and the menu changes daily. Cinnamon rolls were good but had too much icing. The woman working in the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful.

Our 3rd visit and sadly may be the last. We checked in March 1st for two nights. Within 3 hours of settling in by 6:30 pm the room above us was making so much noise I thought it was a thunder storm. Stomping, running, yelling. We called the front desk 3 times asking that the customers be made aware to comply with common courtesy. Finally at 9:30 p.m. I called and said either this be resolved or refund my money and I am leaving. It was unbelievable. The person at the desk came back with "we can move you to the top floor" so at 9:45 p.m. we had to get dressed and pack back up and move to the top floor no where near the unruly customers. We are well traveled and have never experienced anything like this even outside of the USA. What was so frustrating was we as the compliant customers were penalized and inconvenienced rather than addressing the issue with the customers who were the problem. That was not the correct approach. What makes this so bad is this is a nice property in close proximity to many of the dining and shopping opportunities. When we checked out I remarked on the situation and the manager never even engaged in the conversation. If we return to this area to see family we will be researching other hotel options. Do better to future customers.

This was our second time staying here. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The pool and hot tub are wonderful, and it has a very inviting atmosphere to it. There is an Amish restaurant and antique store right next to it, and you are very close to all that downtown Berlin has to offer. Just an FYI - this is a dry county, so if you are hoping to enjoy some wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages, you will need to bring it with you or drive to a nearby county.

This is an extremely nice hotel. From the friendliness of the front desk staff to the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room everything is perfect. The grounds and flowers are beautiful. Breakfast is large and very good.

Whereas I am not a heavy-duty traveler, I've had my share of hotel stays, and this was one of the best I can remember. The Berlin Grande is definitely not your run-of-the mill hotel. It's a step above in almost every way. The location is lovely, the property itself is immaculately maintained, the staff is wonderful, the free breakfast was delicious, and the room was amazing. This was one of the largest rooms I've ever stayed in. I was in a double queen (Room 332) that included a really wonderful kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffee-maker and a large, marble-top counter with pendant lights above and seating for two.) The bathroom was large and clean and featured an enormous walk-in shower as well as an assortment of lovely Bee Kind toiletries by Glichrist & Soames of London (as I said...this place is a step above!) The beds were very comfortable and offered a variety of pillows to suit the preferences of most sleepers. The sheets were soft and inviting. One of the room's most wonderful features was the balcony! Featuring two chairs, the space was rather small, but cozy for a singleton or a couple. All balconies in the hotel are recessed -- a great feature for privacy as well as shelter from the sun, rain, etc. The breakfast area is large and very well-kept, with friendly staff buzzing about to make sure everything was well-stocked, tables were cleaned, etc. As for the food, it went beyond the ordinary "free breakfast" offerings at most hotels and included a variety of hot items (real scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns) as well as some very tasty breakfast rolls iced in one's choice of vanilla or maple. There was also cinnamon bread French toast! If you're looking for lunch or dinner close to the hotel, the Berlin Farmstead restaurant is literally steps from the property. Keep in mind that this is Amish and Mennonite country, though, so nearly everything is closed all day on Sundays. For those interested in exploring the shops, stores, restaurants and scenery of Holmes County, Ohio, the Berlin Grande sits in the heart of it all. There's simply nothing but good to say about this wonderful hotel. I would definitely stay again and would encourage others to stay there as well!
