Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Stadspark

Das Hotel ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, es wirkt etwas kahl an den Wänden in den Zimmern. Die Matratzen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Couches in unserer Suite wirkten ungemütlich und unbequem, als Zusatzbett aber o.k. Zu bemängeln gab es, dass es nicht möglich war, während der drei Abende unseres Aufenthaltes im Restaurant des Hotels zu Abend zu essen. Das war sehr schlecht. Die Stadt ist einige km entfernt um dort dann zu speisen, abgesehen davon, dass man auf ein Auto angewiesen war, welches man dann auch nicht in der Nähe parken konnte in der Innenstadt. Also als Tipp für alle Neubucher- direkt bei der Buchung Tische reservieren und auch für den Spa- Zutritt Zeitfenster dazubuchen, Massagen und andere Dienstleistungen sowieso!

My stay at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Stadspark was pleasant and met basic expectations. The location was convenient. The room was clean and functional. The staff were helpful and polite. Overall it was a decent hotel for a short stay.

Unfortunately, I was not at all satisfied with Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant in Bergen op Zoom. I'll try to summarize: Arrival: - Checked in at reception (reception was nice). - Received 2 door cards - Tried to open the room door (225). The signal remained red. - Back at reception - door cards were re-coded. - Tried to open the door again. Same result - Back to reception again - cards were re-coded, but this time the receptionist came with me - Miraculously, the door opened. First look in the room - the bed had either been used again after cleaning, or someone had done something there. The shower was also still wet. Then I took photos, and you know what's coming. - Back to reception again. I think from that moment on, my colleagues knew me. - Showed pictures and asked me to wait a moment, we'll quickly vacuum and clean. After a 9-hour drive, you just want to go to your room and freshen up. - Asked for a different room. A short time later I was given a new room (116). This room was also clearly showing its age. Only the small bathroom had been renovated. Even the carpeting was rippling. Unfortunately the cleaning lady wasn't taking her job seriously. There's a cobweb hanging right in front of the bathroom door. I didn't remove it. It should still be there today. Catering - We sat down on the terrace and unfortunately had to wait about 10 minutes before someone came. - We asked for a drinks menu. After about 15 minutes the server still hadn't returned and of course we had nothing to drink. NO, it wasn't full at that point. There were exactly 5 people on the terrace. So we decided to find a restaurant nearby where we could get something to eat and drink. At this point we were of course very disappointed with Fletchers Wellness Hotel in Bergen op Zoom. No great apology or anything. Unfortunately I'm not used to that. After we had fortified ourselves, we tried our second time to get something. The wait was acceptable, but I'm still waiting for our question; "How many cl is poured into a wine glass here?" The waitress couldn't answer us, unfortunately. She wanted to consult a colleague. I asked again after about 20 minutes, but she still didn't have an answer. The reason for our question: "All units of measurement are listed on the menu, but not for a glass of wine." In Germany, everything that is sold must always be declared. We then wanted to order a second drink, but there was no waiter to be seen. We then ordered directly at the bar and got our drinks. For a 4* hotel, this is not acceptable. In our opinion, the management needs to do something about this. A hotel thrives on good service and satisfied customers.

Na precies 5 jaar weer eens terug bij Fletcher stadspark in Bergen op Zoom. Als ik mijn recensie van toen nog eens terug lees was mijn mening toen als volgt: mooi hotel op een leuke plek aan het water maar een vieze spa, veel achterstallig onderhoud en knullige service in het restaurant. Eens kijken wat daar 5 jaar later veranderd is. Laten we kort zijn: De locatie is nog steeds leuk. Aan het water is steeds meer te doen en Acqa beach club er vlak naast is echt een aanrader. Het hotel ziet er goed uit! Receptie is netjes en vriendelijk. Ze doen ook echt hun best je te helpen en wat leuke plekken te adviseren om naartoe te gaan. Wat is wel vaak jammer vind is dat ze zo strikt zijn met de check in tijd. Als de kamer vrij is zou het zo mooi zijn als je al je kamer op kan. Achterstallig onderhoud is opgelost en de spa is prima. Schoon en mooi en vriendelijke mensen. Kamers zijn netjes en prima. En het restaurant? Het eten is prima; niets op aan te merken, maar man o man, hoe hard kunnen ze hun best doen om je NIET welkom te voelen. Bij het ontbijt kwamen we om 9.15 binnen. Het restaurant is tot 10 uur open. Werkelijk alles was op: geen eieren, geen fruit, geen suikerbrood, geen pannenkoeken. Echt alleen maar lege schalen. Dat kan toch echt niet met nog 45 minuten te gaan. Voor het diner melden ons netjes bij de balie van het restaurant. Diverse keren komt er een gestresste dame langs die ons totaal negeert. Wanneer ik contact maak zegt ze: “Ja ik kom zo”. Na geruime tijd wortel schieten zijn we maar doorgelopen en zijn we aan tafel gaan zitten. Dan komt de vraag of we gereserveerd hebben. Als dat niet het geval is krijg je een preek. Ik begrijp heel goed dat als het vol is mensen met een reservering voor gaan, maar het restaurant was half leeg. Het lijkt een eer er te mogen eten. Het eten was verder goed al duurde alles heel erg lang. Ruim 2 uur voor een hoofdgerecht en een toetje. Dat is echt te lang. De koffie wordt gehaast opgediend en de helft ligt erover heen op het schoteltje. Daarna willen we nog even wat drinken in de bar. Die is dicht omdat ze te weinig personeel hebben. Overall: het hotel is mooi en locatie leuk. Maar zo met je gasten om gaan verpest echt zo veel. Dom dom dom. Daarom wederom een magere 3 op de schaal van 5.
