The lodge is well-maintained, neat, well-located, and the service is excellent. The only area of weakness I noted is the dust originating from the carpet, spreading over to the bedding. Secondly, the room i booked did not have a refrigerator-which a lodge should ordinarily have because it does not provide lunch. Other than these, i was happy about the service and i would like to come back again.

Service and hospitality was extremely good. Only issue i had was the wifi was extremely bad and could not work as i was on a business trip. i could not send out emails or even watch tv. without wifi now days you pretty much in the dark.

I traveled to Durban with family and dear friends. We felt welcome and cared for every momement. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The common spaces are gorgeous and relaxing. The Ridgeview Lodge takes the second B in B&B very seriously. We enjoyed unforgettably delicious breakfasts each morning, complete with crumpets!

Our stay at Ridgeview Lodge was wonderful. The rooms and other hotel facilities (lounge, bar, dining room, swimming pool and garden) are perfect. The reception by the owner and support staff was excellent. We had trouble with our car and the host was extremely accommodating, patient and supportive in providing information to assist us. We were given information on things to do in the area. The breakfast is delicious and generous. Overall, a short but awesome stay. We hope to come again.

Lage: Zentral Allerdings wird immer ein Auto benötigt. Zimmer Nr. 7 Bettwäsche und Handtücher sauber. Teppich wirkt nicht einladend.Geruch modrig bzw. Abgestanden Möbel in die Jahre gekommen. Technik: Fernsehen Empfang: furchtbar. Elektrik Steckdosen usw. alt. Erfrischung: Teebeutel und Kaffee am Zimmer. Allerdings ein Kaffeelöffel benutzt Nicht wirklich appetitlich! Frühstücksraum:sehr schön. Das Angebot entspricht einem 4 Sterne B&B BAD Fliesen : alt (teilweise gebrochen und abgewöhnt) Die Fugen sind stark verfärbt, siehe Fotos Service : Wir sind um 12:30Uhr angekommen und sind unfreundlich behandelt worden. Aussage der Rezeption. Weltweit kann man nirgends vor 14:00Uhr 2PM einchecken. Wir dürften unsere Koffer in einer ungepflegten Garage unterstellen, sollen aber bitte wieder fahren obwohl das Haus offensichtlich nicht belegt war..Eine Einladung zum Verbleiben am Pool oder im Aufenthaltsraum: Fehlanzeige Service beim Frühstück war freundlich und aufmerksam. Abreise : Unser Flug wurde nach hinten verschoben. Auf die Frage ob wir länger im Zimmer bleiben können : Nein Um 10 Uhr (AM) muss das Zimmer frei sein! Wir wollten dann eigentlich nur noch weg und haben die Zeit in einer Mall überbrückt Empfehlung von uns :Suchen Sie sich eine Unterkunft in der Sie als Gast gerne gesehen werden und willkommen sind. PS:Sicherlich wird auf unsere Bewertung die Aussage kommen, dass das Haus von extern mit 4 Sternen bewertet wurde. Allerdings ist am Eingang ganz groß das 4 Sterne Schild angebracht. Geworben wird also schon damit. 3 Sterne wären ehrlich. Die Lodge hat den letzten Platz bei unserer 3 wöchigen Rundreise eingenommen

Great location with awesome views over Durban. The food delicious and we appreciated the attentive, friendly host able to help with local advice and info. Rooms were clean & spacious, and the property has good security, including onsite parking.
