Hotels near JR Kamegawa Station, Beppu

This time I decided to stay at a slightly better hotel, so I used this one that opened last year and 4 people including 1 preschooler. I stayed in a triple room on the mountain side. I usually only stay in a room with a toilet and a bath immediately after entering, with two beds in the back, and a desk and a TV opposite (child talk). The two children were excited. There is a center partition on the road in front of the store, so the warehouse from the Beppu area will be a U-turn from where I went for a while. I checked in at 15:00, but I was distributing hell steaming and plum sake next to the front desk and had it immediately. It was delicious. Immediately after that, take a bath. The hotel itself seemed to be booming, but this time was still available. It is comfortable as a wide 々. The hot water temperature is also good. There is a draft beer server, a drink bar and ice cream where it goes up. This is only the night time zone. It feels like it's getting crowded, so it might be a good idea to enter early. Supper is a 90-minute two-part system. There are children, so it's early from 17:30. Because it is a half Viking, I bring steak and appetizers. I can't help but be worried about the food on the buffet table, but I think it's easier to consult with you if you're full if you touch the table service dish first. All-you-can-drink alcohol. I don't usually drink it, but because of poor development (laughs), I had a little apricot dew. If you are a drinker, it is heaven. There are many delicious dishes on the buffet table, so I was very satisfied. After the meal, go to the playroom with the child. Children were addicted to toys such as push pop, but there is a space where they can play in various ways. If you are traveling with children, you may come out once. By the way, there is no toilet on the 2nd floor, so this is quite troublesome. The room is new so it is large and clean. I think the view on the sea side is good, but that's a consultation with your wallet. I went to the bath from the morning the next day. It was around 6:30, but it was a reasonable entry. It seems that it is crowded if it is late. Breakfast starts at 7:30. The receptionist at check-in asks you the start time, but unlike dinner, it is not an hour system, so if you go at 8:30 or so, you will have a restriction on admission. The staff was also concerned about that area, and the table was about to be cleaned up when the bride & younger child was going to the toilet, and the older child and I were going to pick up dessert. There are some types of buffets that cannot be compared with eating at once in a mix of Japanese and Western styles. There are raw fish and some types of grilled fish are also served at the table. This was delicious. I mean, everything is delicious. Around the lobby on the 1st floor, there is a drink bar in the evening bathing space, and there is a coffee machine in the playroom, which is generous. There is also hell steaming, where you can enjoy plum wine or shochu, so even those who do not eat can enjoy it. Still, I think that eating can enjoy this place. Also, if you stay at peak time, you may be vacant and satisfied if you take early action (evening bath, morning bath, breakfast). I stayed with a lot of children. This time I stayed in combination with Harmony Land (if you go the next day, turn left and turn U). There are many rooms as it is, so it may not be suitable for those who want the quietness of adults. It may be good for a lively but OK group, a group that likes alcohol.

Last time I booked a Western-style room this time I booked a Japanese-style room. Also, the glass used is cloudy due to aging deterioration, so it's time to replace it with a stone! ?? I booked Chinese food this time and I was expecting it because the Japanese food was delicious last time, but unfortunately Chinese food was not so good. There was no. If the interval is too wide, you will feel full and your food will not progress. I will never use Chinese food ２ from the next time. Breakfast is rich and delicious. Bath The open-air bath is comfortable, but I want you to put a good shampoo in the men's bath! The correspondence of the hotel staff was very good as last time.

A member of our party booked this hotel through Booking.com in January 2019 to accommodate us ( a party of four in 2 rooms) for one night during our RWC 2019 tour. Whist we knew that it was not the ‘best’ of the hotels we had booked nothing prepared us for the incredibly poor quality of this hotel. We were accommodated in the Hotel so cannot comment on the standard of the Hotel Sun Valley annex. On arrival we received a warm welcome and the hotel had prepared well for its RWC guests providing relevant information on travel to and from Beppu and facilities in Beppu itself . The beds were clean too but that is where the good ends. The hotel is sub standard and the rooms small, dirty ( accumulated dust in the room and cleanliness of the bathroom was suspect) and electrical goods and installations aged and dangerous . Furnishings were old and carpets frayed . One of the rooms had no light in the bathroom which meant that the bathroom door had to be left open during its use. The cost of the room was not excessive at circa £220 a night but it was not cheap either . Whatever it’s cost , it is expensive for what it has and what it offers. It took a lot of persuading for me to stay for the one night at this hotel and I would never return or personally recommend it to travellers. There are other hotels that provide better accommodation for the same/similar cost. Here are some of the photos to highlight the quality of our room and facilities.

This was bolt hole no.1 on our Rugby World Cup weekend, it was a good choice! I had already booked a nights stay here on the Saturday of England's rugby QF v Australia. We hastily arranged a Friday stay when it became clear commuting from Fukuoka to Beppu was going to be a major issue on match say. Turned out a great plan! So 2 nights, we enjoyed the Spa which me and my wife made full use of. The outdoor baths range in temperatures and size. At the time we stayed there, it was the chosen bolt hole of many a rugby newspaper hack! There was Messrs S Jones and M Cleary of the broad sheets and M Samuels of the Mail, amongst others. We also had rugby correspondents from Sky Sports news. Funny choice since Oita is quite a commute from that hotel. Anyway, I digress. Hotel rooms are plain but comfortable plus large enough. Walk in showers and breakfast had a wide selection. Friendly staff but an odd gown and slippers rule (not strictly enforced, just as well as slippers were too small as were garments). For both nights, we enjoyed drinks in their basic lounge area. Beers were purchased from a vending machine. Usual fayre of Asahi type later, not great but ok. The place is up in the mountains about a 20 min bus ride from Beppu Station. We ate in the evening in Beppu, plenty of choices. All in all, a fun stay.

Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

It depends on what you take, but it was a pretty convenient hotel considering the price and location. Since the parking lot was free, you can go out to hot springs and meals without leaving your car, and there is a shop that collects popular souvenirs in the station, so you don't have to worry about souvenirs. And the location of the hotel is easy to understand. I got off the Beppu IC and there was a little distance, but I wondered if I arrived at about one turn left ３ times and one turn right (laughs) The room is hard to say, but if you just sleep ... Well (laughs) The hot water in the large communal bath is a hot spring, so it was comfortable and the reception staff were paired It's good. It was an old the Showa hotel, but it wasn't bad ✨ This time I was satisfied because I wanted to spend money on sightseeing and meals.

It's very clean!! I am the type of person to easily get rashes when strangers touch me, but I had no issues staying here. The staff also upgraded my room 🥰 The location is very very good, just a short walk from the beppu train station, where you can take a local bus to the jigoku tourism onsens. The private onsen was hard to get when I stayed, you really have to monitor the availability on TV. I would suggest that you try afternoon for the private onsens when people are either out or have checked out of the hotel, as they seem to be very popular at night.

The Japanese room style is huge. It can fit 10 people. We are a family of 5 and we have plenty of room for my children to explore and enjoy the room. Even the room is old but clean. The style is very traditional and we love it. We stay on the 2nd floor but the view of the sea is nice enough. Breakfast is not bad with variety of food, lots of Japanese style food. Staff are super nice. The hotel is a bit far from train station but within walking distance. Overall is great with this price.

For those driving, please note that there are limited parking lots behind the hotel building. If it's full, you'll need to park at the multi-story car park beside the hotel, which doesn't come with a lift. Several convenience stores are located nearby the hotel. Overall, the check-in experience was smooth. However, the wait for the lift is quite lengthy, as there are only three lifts serving all customers. It took me 10 minutes to go down during peak hours.

Due to the influence of the coronavirus, the capsule hotel floor was not open, so we stayed in a rental room (a capsule type room with an internal lock on the door) for one night. The biggest selling point of this facility is that for a stay of just over 3,000 yen, you can enter the natural hot spring ``Tengu no Yu'' 24 hours a day without any additional charges. As expected from Beppu, the city of hot springs♪ Although it is located one street away from the downtown area, it is still a leisurely 10 minute walk to Beppu Station. Recommended for those who want to stay overnight without meals at a low price.
