It was clean and peaceful

I paid $171 for one night here, and unfortunately, my experience didn’t match the positive reviews I had read beforehand. The room smelled musty with a strong incense-like odor, and the overall hotel carried a heavy spice smell. Upon entering, it was clear the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in some time. We found bugs, candy, and other debris in plain sight that had not been swept up. The fridge was dirty, the window A/C was caked with dust, and the room felt overly humid. One pillow even had what looked like dried bodily fluids on it. The bathroom was especially concerning. The towel shelf fell off the wall in the middle of the night, the shower sprayed water over the curtain and didn’t look clean, and the bathroom door itself had literally been nailed together with roofing nails. In addition, the parking lot felt unsafe. We observed sketchy behavior outside and did not feel comfortable walking to and from our room alone. When I mentioned these issues at checkout, the response from the front desk was dismissive, telling me I should have reported it the night before. While I understand things can get overlooked, the number of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety problems in this room was unacceptable. Maybe I just had bad luck and ended up in the worst room, but based on my stay, this property did not meet even basic cleanliness, maintenance, or security standards—especially for the price.

Nice hotel located near a Pilot station and highway. Room was perfect for myself coffee all day granola bar breakfast. Bed and linens were clean. Shower worked 👍 great. Nice staff I spent most of my daytimes at the beach 🏖️

Room was fairly comfortable...but not clean. Mirror was dirty, furniture dusty and window looking outside was cracked. Large potholes in the parking lot and building is right next to a large truck stop on one side and the freeway on the other. Hallways unbelievably warm and absolutely zero amenities. No breakfast, no ice and no elevator. Not in a safe neighborhood. Would gladly pay $50-$75 more to stay in a safer, better environment. Disappointing.

Dirty. Mold in the shower. Smells bad. Now after returning home I'm starting to feel sick!
