We visited the manoir several years ago under different ownership . Daniel the charming new owner , couldn’t do enough to make our stay special. Although he doesn’t offer a menu in the evening he produced a delicious soup and a fabulous baked Camembert with fresh crusty bread . The breakfast was exceptional . A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a very special family home .

This is a perfect place to relax - far from any bustle, or noisy road. The manor is surrounded by countryside with a brook running through the garden near the house with ducks and beaver-like coypu swimming under the water lilies. The bedroom was charmingly furnished with the only comfortable pillows we had during two weeks travelling in France. We also had the best breakfast with memorable breads and pastries. Ben and Michael have got it exactly right. I've no criticisms! There were even sockets for iPhone chargers in the bedroom and plenty of hooks to hang robes and towels in the bathroom (a constant gripe of mine). Ben cooked a fantastic dinner which we ate outside to the sound of the brook. They don't do dinner every night but recommend local places to visit.

Enchanting place. Ben and Michael have got this spot on. The rooms, grounds, outstanding food - Ben everything perfect. Could not fault a thing. Don't change anything its just wonderful. Only stayed 1 night wish it had been longer. Feel so relaxed. Thankyou guys.

Absolutely charming place with charming hosts. Ben and Michael make a great team, the attention to detail is superb, dinner was lovely (don’t know if I loved the warm hummus but it didn’t detract from the whole experience). Definitely recommend staying here.

A beautiful building set in beautiful grounds. They only open for dinner on limited days but they recommended a number of restaurants and we went to Les Flots in La Rochelle which was excellent. Super breakfast with option to cook eggs as wells as continental. Nice British owners.

Manoir de Plaisance is perfection. Our three night stay was one of the best stays we have had anywhere …….. ever!!! Ben & Michael have created a paradise that guests are lucky to be able to experience. Stunning setting, luxurious rooms, delicious breakfasts & divine dinner and every wish taken care of. I just wished we lived closer to France to be able to stay here more often.

Tip Top & Not! Tip Top ? Everything !!! Wow ! Building Location Hosts Rooms Breakfast The pool There really are no words . This place and its hosts are just wonderful. Far more than just a B&B , this is a truly magical place, offering everything you desire . Not? Nothing Wouldn’t fault anything - Ben and Michael please don’t change a thing! Next time we visit we will book in on an evening when dinner is being served as we are sure this would be amazing too!!! Thank you so much !!!
