The room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were very welcoming. There was some confusion about whether breakfast was or was not included. (It was not.) I would stay here again. We visited on a very cold night and the room was toasty.

Always spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, very reasonably priced and convenient to everything interesting in the Bennington area. Great staff, family owned and I'd never stay in one of the local big chains again. I've stayed many times and have never had a bad experience.

Great place for what they're selling. We ended up in a one bedroom suite which had a ton of space! Lobby breakfast area was clean and just what we needed to start our day. Staff was super friendly. Grounds were very well kept. Will stay again if we're in the area.

This was a nice little gem to find! No, it's not the Four Seasons but it's not supposed to be! The room was very clean and updated. There were minor maintenance items but it was clear that the owners do their due diligence to make sure nothing goes beyond minor repair. The breakfast area was also extremely clean. While we didn't use the pool, it looked lovely - clean, new-looking, well kept. Best of all, the staff (owners) were VERY nice, helpful, and full of information!

The Knotty Pine Motel was one of the best places we have stayed. The rooms were very clean. We stayed in the two-bedroom suite. The price was reasonable. The pool was well maintained. My granddaughter lives in the area and highly recommended this motel and I'm glad she did. When we go back to this area I will stay here again.

My sister and I reserved two rooms through a third-party booking site at around 7:50 am the same day we planned to check in at 5:00 pm. In our special requests, we specified that we required accommodations for a trailer we were pulling and two cats. Upon our arrival and after making payment for the rooms, we began to unpack, only to be informed by the front desk clerk that cats were not allowed despite the fact that the third-party website said that they could accommodate pets upon request. This situation was extremely frustrating. The clerk failed to read our request in the booking for over 8 hours and didn’t even review it upon our check-in. Although she expressed apologies for the mix-up and mentioned a possibility that we would not receive a refund, then she unfairly shifted the blame to us, insisting it was our fault for not booking directly through their website or calling ahead. This response is unacceptable, as it is their responsibility to ensure their business policies are accurately listed on third-party sites as they must opt into using these services. Moreover, the front desk clerk claimed she didn't have time to review special requests for all the rooms. Given that there is only roughly 20 rooms in this motel and our booking was made over 8 hours prior, it should have been a priority to review and contact us if there were any issues. After we insisted, we were finally able to secure a refund, though she again stated she would need to check if she could indeed issue one. The Knotty Pine Motel exhibited unprofessional behavior, with staff failing to perform their duties and blaming their own negligence on the guests. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this motel – their handling of the situation was utterly ridiculous and unprofessional.

What an amazing motel! We were traveling through the area and wanted to enjoy the back roads and small towns of New England and the Knotty Pine Motel did not disappoint! So much so, that we stayed here again on our way back through. We reached out to the motel via email to see about the late check-in process because of our travel schedule. Our questions were promptly answered and our late check-in matched exactly what was explained to us. The room is quaint, clean, and exactly what were looking for! It was well provisioned with a comfortable bed, desk, night stands, and table with chairs. Our first trip through, the bathroom was a little small, but adequate for our needs. The second visit the bathroom was larger. The office staff was polite during our check out on both visits. If you enjoy road trips and want an experience for your lodging and not just a cookie cutter hotel room -- you have to give this place a try!

There is nothing not to like about this place !. Old charm of the 70 -80 road motel with meticulously cleaned rooms , sufficient and quiet baseboard style heating and family like atmosphere . Thank you Betsy , your family and your staff for being such a caring and accommodating team.
