Perfect stay, the rooms are beautiful and the bed sooo comfy. Suite 9 is on the top level with a view across the street. It’s quiet and was very cosy on a cold weekend in Bendigo. Will stay again.

Great location. The suite was well decorated, but restroom seems not to be as new as other facilities in the suite. Hope to see the hotel restaurant opens later in 2024.

Lovely hotel. Very central location, near art gallery, restaurants and town centre. We had room 6, large corner suite with balcony and views at 2 sides. Very peaceful stay. Restaurant Terrae excellent. Open for lunch and dinner. No breakfast but room has kitchenette and many cafes nearby. Bayleaf did a great breakfast. A 10 minute walk into town. Also loved Bunja Thai restaurant. Wine Bank looked good, next time!

We stayed at Ernest as part of a family celebration. The suites are decorated individually and we chose the decor in ours when booking. Suites are very comfortable with an en suite bathroom and we enjoyed secure off street car parking. The hotel is admirably situated near excellent restaurants and the Bendigo Art Gallery and strolling distance to the city’s shops. When we stayed, unfortunately the hotel had no catering facility however we understand this has since been rectified. We consider in light of the exemplary manner in which the hotel performed, breakfast, dining, etc.would be very good.

The place was not properly cleaned - my wife had to clean it upon arrival - upon arrival the toilet had toilet paper and poo, dead bug in the bath tub, the place was dusty and bath jets came on and immediately stoped even though the tub was fully filled with water - at this price you expect a lot more - it was very disappointing and we left early

My family and I enjoyed all the thoughtful touches like the heated towel rail, Nespresso machine and plentiful crockery. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Dyson heating convenient. We enjoyed the art, colour scheme & light - lots of natural light during the day & soft up lights at night. Thanks also to Ella, who was charming & helpful at all times.

Bendigo Ernest Hotel has finally put Bendigo on the map for luxury accommodation. Bendigo has always had its unique charm and hidden wonders, but it was missing that touch of luxury that makes your adventure truly unforgettable. Well, not anymore! The Bendigo Ernest Hotel has come to the rescue and put this incredible town on the map for luxury accommodation. This extraordinary haven of comfort and luxury has been calling my name since it popped up on my radar in 2022, so when the chance finally came to swing by during our Aussie adventure, we didn't think twice. It exceeded all our expectations! In fact, we found ourselves returning not once, not twice, but thrice during the month back in our hometown of Bendigo. Talk about love at first stay! After we arrived in Melbourne, Australia, we made our way to the heart of Bendigo in a short 90-minute drive on a dual-lane freeway. The warm embrace of this divine sanctuary welcomed us, a surprise welcome home goodies from my beautiful family. It was like stepping into a tranquil oasis, with park views and leafy green trees swaying outside our window. The Bendigo Ernest Hotel oozes class and sophistication. Nestled within the walls of Bendigo's oldest bank, dating back to 1864, it's nestled in the beating heart of the original gold rush town. It's a hop, skip, and jump from the city's top-notch eateries, which are world-class, and the famed Bendigo Art Gallery. And those ten individually styled suites? Each one's a masterpiece, decked with Aussie art, plush bedding, and designer touches that make for a stay unlike any other. We went room-hopping and even had the opportunity to cosy up in suites 1, 4, and 9 – all pure bliss, but 4 and 9 stole our hearts. The underground cellar houses an exquisite and alluring bar, lit with soft lighting that creates a sense of comfort, relaxation, and the perfect Martini. Its intimate ambience sets the stage for a sophisticated escape. Let's not overlook the anticipation building for Terrae, the upcoming fine dining restaurant scheduled to debut in Autumn 2024. Mark your calendars, folks! The prospect of indulging in exquisite cuisine while sipping wine in such a meticulously crafted setting is part of life's finer moments. But wait, it gets even better. Picture yourself basking in the glorious Bendigo sun from the courtyard, soaking in the city's charm and the serene sounds of Rosalind Park. And the icing on the cake? Free, secure parking on site – a rare treat in the heart of a bustling town. The service! The delightful Ella and her team are nothing short of beautiful souls. They embrace all guests with warmth and ensure that every moment of your stay is filled with joy and comfort. Their hospitality has us returning time and time again, each visit leaving us with cherished memories to hold close to our hearts. So, if you find yourself yearning for a touch of luxury and a dash of heritage charm in Bendigo, look no further than the Bendigo Ernest Hotel. It's n

Our very comfortable room had a balcony from which we took in the view of the lovely Rosalind Park in the centre of town, while sipping our 1980 Grange and reflecting on the Paris exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery next door. Yes, all very civilised though the disintegration of the cork necessitated the purchase and employment of a $2 tea strainer to separate the liquid from the floating debris.
