Dunes Motel - Bend

This place was great! Easy to check in and get to the room. This is a motel but we sprung for the top room, the honeymoon suite. This is not in the actual row of rooms in the main building. This is on the corner of the property in its own building next to laundry. (We didn’t have a noise problem). Good size room with a big comfortable bed and giant comfy chair perfect for two people to cuddle on. Very romantic. Flowers everywhere and candles were a nice touch. The bathroom was where this room stands out.. good size jetted tub and nice smaller shower with a rainfall head. Separate heating and cooling for the bath was nice too.
SpringHill Suites Bend

Room: spacious and very clean. New and updated and very modern, the hotel and the rooms. Mattress is very comfortable. Shower is good with ok water pressure. AC: single unit, but not loud. Front desk staff very friendly and welcoming Location: close to downtown (in the downtown, walking to the old mill district) Breakfast: the typical simple free breakfast of the usual hotels. As most free breakfasts, the scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes (on weekends biscuit and gravy) are OK. But, the other items such as waffle maker, the yogurt and cereal are better options. No one leaves hungry. Bananas are offered early in the morning. Apples are usually last till the end of breakfast. Value: compared with other hotels of similar class and grade, it is pretty good.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bend South

We stayed here while passing through the area on a road trip through the Pacific North West. Bend is a nice town and this was a great place to stay. It’s on the southern side of Bend and is only 10 minutes from Lava Lands Visitor Center. Hotel room was big and very clean. Would stay here again.
Residence Inn Bend

The hotel itself is nice, as the staff I spoke with. It was the manager that emailed me that could not help. Apparently there was a miscommunication between my understanding of being able to receive a credit on most of my stay. I reserved the hotel from a Wednesday through Saturday as my daughter was having a baby and I live out of town. Due to complications, I never slept at the hotel. I did a mobile check in on that Weds but called the hotel to let them know I wouldn't be there as I had to stay at the hospital. I did show up Thursday and Again on Friday to shower but ended up checking out on Friday in person as I didn't really need the room. I received a credit for one night only, so basically I paid over $1000 for two showers. Disappointed since these were unforeseen circumstances and I was hoping for a little grace from the hotel.
TownePlace Suites Bend Near Mt. Bachelor
4.4/562 Reviews
We chose the TownePlace Suites for our short February ski trip to nearby Mt Bachelor. This lodging suited us perfectly; we would stay there again if we return to ski. The location is ideal. Yes, it’s on a busy street, but this is the direct street that leads to Mt Bachelor. We had a room facing Century Drive rather than facing the parking lot, and only some street noise came through. While there was no on-site ski storage available, we found that our skis tucked under the bed quite nicely. We received a complimentary upgrade to a King which was appreciated (and fit more skis!) The suite had one large closet with two separated doors – one door in the entryway and one door in the bathroom. This was a good option to hang all of our wet ski gear. We used the kitchen area and appreciated the large fridge & microwave. We used the stove-top once (only one of the two burners worked, so I submitted a service report when we left.) We used the hot tub three times during our stay. The water was hot, there were ample towels provided, and the winter air was a nice contrast. The pool & hot tub area was covered with snow later in our stay, so we did not use it again. There was a lot of interior construction going on, but as we were gone all day, we seldom heard anything. Supplies are staged in the parking lot which uses quite a few spaces. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast staff was efficient and friendly – great way to start the day. The breakfast options were numerous. (I have added photos.) I found many healthful options like scrambled eggs or hard cooked eggs, cheeses, several kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit, and oatmeal. I was especially fond of the add-ins for the oatmeal and usually chose nuts, fruits, and more. There were a few other hot options that I did not have.
Quality Inn

First problem, when I arrived I wanted to change my payment method and the manager informed me that they had already precharged my card due to being sold out! She said she couldn't switch the payment method without it taking a great deal of effort! I have never had any hotel I stayed at, or worked at, precharge a credit card unless it was a prepaid room. But never, even if it was sold out, have i been charged before ive even checked in! Usually I am asked if the credit card on file is correct and then charged at checkout! I talked to the Night auditor and he said it was a recent change, within the last week, from the new manager and that he had never had any manager do this in the 7 years he has worked there. Definitely not a fan of this ”policy” change. Second, I asked if I could get a little milk for my youngest child since I hadn't been able to get some before we got to the hotel. I was told that it was not possible for them to get me any, which I guess isn't a huge deal, just agitating since every other hotel I've been to has been able and willing. Last, the bedroom smelt like stinky feet and the beds were awful! If you like sleeping on plywood these beds are for you! Otherwise go spend $20 more at best Western for a better bed. Staff overall was friendly, just won't be staying here or at any other Quality inn in the future.
