This was our second visit to Taj Exotica, the first one was in August last year. We had originally come for the brand name, the reputation of Taj, the stunning properties and the beautiful beaches. But we will keep coming back because of people like Siddharth the Duty Manager, Sunilji at the valet, and Valenco at the pool bar. On our first visit, Siddharth found out my father had cancer and quietly arranged a complimentary photo shoot for us. At the time it felt like a kind gesture, but it became much more than that. My father passed away just three months later, and that photo still hangs in our house today. It was his last vacation, and we will always be grateful to Siddharth for giving us that memory. This time again, Siddharth went out of his way to make our stay smooth, extending our checkout and letting us enjoy a relaxed evening before our train. What really stood out was how he remembers people. While I was talking with him, a lady he had met years ago walked up, and he recognized her instantly. That kind of personal touch is rare. Sunilji was just as thoughtful. Last year he personally helped my father in and out of the buggies with genuine care, not just as part of his job. This visit too, he greeted us every single time with the same warmth and sincerity. And then there is Valenco at the pool bar, always cheerful and attentive, adding conversation and warmth that made even a simple drink by the pool feel special. The property itself is everything you expect from Taj — lush, well kept, with stunning views of the sea and the kind of calm you come to Goa for. But what makes it unforgettable are the people. Because of Siddharth, Sunilji, and Valenco, Taj has become more than a hotel for us. It is now a ritual for me and my mother every year, three nights at Taj Aguada and three nights at Taj Exotica, a tradition we intend to keep. And Taj Exotica will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the last vacation I had with my beloved father, a memory we will carry with us forever.

Visited in August for a 2-night stay, and the experience was far below expectations, especially for a Taj property charging premium rates. We reached by 12:30 PM and patiently waited for the 2 PM check-in, but even then, the room was delayed. Despite traveling with kids, we had to request before being accommodated — extremely poor service for a luxury brand. Inside the room, : the kettle and hair dryer didn’t work, the bath tub water was yellow and dirty, and the balcony doors were jammed. These are the basic standards one expects at any decent hotel. Frankly, this felt like the experience of a ₹3,000/night budget hotel, not a Taj. For the price charged, it was a complete letdown and absolutely not worth the money.
