Holiday World Riwo Hotel.

In regards to the hotel it's self it is lovely and can see why it has got 4 stars, however there is a lot that lets it down 1 - food, the food in the restaurant and snacks is repativie but this is to be expected with all inclusive however the restaurant does themed nights, whilst we have been here there has been Spanish, European, American and Arabian nights. Even with these themed nights the food is still repetitive and the selection for these themes are on a small selection of the national dishes and just not edible. 2 - room, we are traveling with a 9 month old baby and we have been able to use the kettle provided in the rooms to make bottles or even if we wanted to make a hot drink for ourselves, as of you do use the kettle the fuses blow out and you have to get maintenance to resolve the problem. 3 - pool, even though the pool area is good with plenty of sun beds and chairs, the pool it's self let's the hotel down too, with the pool been so cold our toddler would not even go near it after one attempt, I tried but had to get out immediately as it feels like you are getting a freezer burn on your feet.

Overall had a amazing stay staff at the hotel made the stay special had a great time with my son thank you

I’m confused by these 5 star reviews. To start with, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere & up a hill. Thankfully we had car hire and have been to the area before so knew where to go. The hotel is very tired. There were towels all over the floor as the roof was leaking. The bedrooms are very 90s with very poor ventilation. Nothing you hang up anywhere dries, even with the heating on! Beds extremely uncomfortable. Our youngest child had a travel cot provided with a very large questionable brown stain on it. The restaurant is very bizarre. Undercooked chicken one night was a personal highlight. All food very bland. There is ZERO dress code. If you like to go out in joggers & a vest you’ll fit in exceptionally well. Personally it was not for me and I wouldn’t return. I’ve been to many 4* hotels and this just wasn’t worthy of those 4 stars…

We stayed as a family of 5, all inclusive. The staff are lovely and the kids club staff were great. Our room was clean and fresh. The bathroom was sometimes a bit musty but didn't detract from our stay. The shower leaked but that was probably a user error than anything else. The main pool was fab for the kids, two shallow ends and the middle was deepest at 1.4m. The kids pool was being worked on but it didn't detract from the stay and to be honest, I think the main pool was probably better for my children as they could all play together regardless of age. The bar and food by the pool was fab, staff very friendly and kids could just go up and ask for drinks and ice cream. The indoor pool was available during our stay, we used it twice within our stay with no issues. Food is your average all inclusive, we stayed for a week and the main theme of the night changed daily with no repetition, I found no major issues with the food. Obviously there are the main stays like burgers/hot dogs/ chips etc but that was fine for the kids. Lots of fresh fruit available as well. Kids loved the little park and met a lot of other kids and played well. Adults able to get to the bar and sit outside whilst kids played. Mini golf was hilarious, it's slanted to one side and balls bounced off here, there and everywhere but we had a good laugh about it. For the beach, just take the coach down the hill and head right. There are stairs down to the beach, if you continue to walk an extra 10mins, there are shops etc. not too far to be honest if you're up for the walk. Nightly entertainment, kids mini disco every night at half 8. There is a kids club, which my kids went to once but they preferred to play in the pool. We also went to the zoo, for us it was about a 50£ all round Uber trip (5 of us) but would be cheaper for less people, had a great time and saw lots of animals that we hadn't seen before. Kids enjoyed it. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday. The hotel was clean and fresh. Minor issues but none that would mean we wouldn't return.
