Great hotel. Fab pool, lovely breakfast. We loved it here, staff were very attentive. Very welcoming

Disappointed with my stay , rooms getting tired heating in room poor. Woken up at 3.30am by a guest asleep and snoring loudly in the corridor. Called reception, someone came saw could not wake the man so left him there. Not really the right thing to do as was disturbing other guests.

We had an excellent and relaxing stay at Belton Woods Hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food especially the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. During our stay we used the pool and spa facilities which were all very clean, the pool was nice and warm and large enough for doing few lengths without getting in to anyone's way.

A great short trip for golf with 11 other society members. At breakfast on the last morning I asked one of the staff how I could fill up my large water bottle in preparation for the round of golf. Kate was extremely courteous and helpful and returned my bottle filled with cold water. She’s a credit to the hotel.

The hotel and the facilities were really good. We however were very disappointed with the service received at the hotel. After playing our first round of golf we like all golfers retire to the bar for a drink. There were several tables left vacant with glasses and leftover plates of food. We had to clear the tables to get somewhere to sit. Furthermore it was taking about 30 minutes to get served, it was total carnage. There is no excuse for this in my mind because they know how many people to expect and staff the bar area accordingly. When checking in you are given a package for choices for your evening meal, which was a great idea for a large group like ours. In the pack it made very clear that you need to be present at the restaurant ten minutes before your allotted dining time as food will served promptly. We all arrived at the restaurant and were turned away because they weren’t ready for us. This was no problem to be fair and we understood that things don’t always go smoothly. However the starters then started coming out in dribs and drabs 50 minutes later. Everyone on our table had finished their starters and when I was able to get a member of staff I asked for the remaining starters, all of whom had pea and mint soup. Well, I wish I hadn’t have bothered. It was tasteless and lukewarm warm, I and the others couldn’t eat it even though we were very hungry. I complained at the time and the restaurant manager dealt with it but stated that they had a private function. I pointed out that, that is not a viable excuse. He knew that information well in advance and pointed out that we had paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel and expected a level of service in the restaurant. The male toilet for the bar was located on the next floor. I don’t think it was cleaned all weekend. There was no paper except for the large bin that was over flowing with used paper towels, quite disgusting really. I was told by other group members that the changing room toilet was the same. Breakfast was very nice. Good quality food and cooked well. The coffee was bean to cup and was very nice. I would recommend the breakfast. It was such a shame because we’re not the sort of people to complain, but it was forced upon us to. The hotel room and bed were really nice no problem there at all, we all had a good nights sleep.
