Maroela House Guest Accommodation

Location: The guest house is located in a peaceful and well-established neighborhood, offering a convenient proximity to Cape Town attractions such as the Waterfront and Stellenbosch.

We were down in Cape Town for a National swimming competition for my son. My wife and daughter joined us later to support our son in addition to enjoying a short holiday. Mary Pat and Yanga could not do enough to assist us. They were truly the personification of awesome. My son and I were initially booked in a twin room for 2 nights before the rest of the family arrived a few days later. Mary Pat upgraded us straight to the family room - which made life much easier for my son, who I was transporting twice a day to the competition venue. The family unit (4beds - 2 bedroom) was more than comfortable and meant that we were close enough to our son and younger daughter. There is a small bar fridge and kettle - with tea coffee etc. TV (netflix) in the main bedroom. We were also given access to the "boardroom" kitchen where there is a large fridge, basic food preparation facilities, microwave and utensils. This was of immense value to us for very early morning starts and late nights after finals to prepare suitable food options for a hungry and tired athlete. The venue does provide an option for breakfast - which we were not always able to use, particularly on some of the very early morning starts. However, the breakfast had a few choices and that too was excellent. We had a hire car - the venue is very well situated, easy access to the high-way, shops and restaurants as required. There is secure parking. The venue is pristine and peaceful Thank you Mary Pat and Yanga - we will certainly be back We would also highly recommend the venue

I absolutely loved my stay at this guest house! It’s so peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful environment that makes it the perfect escape. The services were amazing, and I couldn’t have felt more cared for. A huge shoutout to Samantha and Yanga; they are incredible! They made sure I had everything I needed and were always so friendly and helpful. The owner, Mary, is such a lovely person. She’s so thoughtful and really goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are comfortable and happy. This was my second time staying here, and I’m already looking forward to coming back next year for the third time in a row. Also, the location is ideal, just a 25-minute drive to the Waterfront and 35 minutes to Stellenbosch. Plus, there are some fantastic wine estates and great restaurants close by. If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay, I can’t recommend this guest house enough!
