The Alona staff were very pleasant and friendly. Have to highlight Elaine she was great. She went above and beyond to help us out. The Alona was Very clean. The location is fabulous and well worth a visit. Would definitely return.

I visited the Alona today with friends for coffees and scones. We sat outside as the weather was good. The coffees came quickly but we had to chase the scones after about 15 mins. The hotel was very quiet at the time and the staff not busy. The outside area was filthy with the ground covered in weeds. We had to ask for our table to be cleaned as it was covered in bird poo. Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

We stopped off here whilst taking a walk round the park. We booked in prior to the walk and confined at the time we had a gluten free within our party. Three inexperienced people behind the bar, took forever to order and had to ask to check for GF panini. I got my food along with one other friend who didn’t get exactly what they ordered and the last member of our party didn’t get their food at all to the point we had finished eating and still no sign of her food. Terrible terrible service. Will not be back!

No fridge in room. No food available after 9pm. No one at reception after 9pm and no night porter available. I had to struggle from car park with a suitcase and two flight bags . When I told the receptionist I had luggage she informed me “ There was a lift” No help offered. The bed felt as if the mattress was full of rocks. Very poor customer service.

It’s a great stay
All good as per usual. Great staff , helpful and friendly.
The views of the park and loch are fantastic . The food in the hotel is excellent.
