Harvest Barn Inn

A lovely B&B owned by a very caring young couple. The room and bed was very comfortable. The location quiet and safe. The shower was clean and out of this world. Breakfast was locally sourced with good coffee. I will definitely stay there the next time I’m near Bellows Falls

As soon as I drove into the valley following the winding majestic Connecticut River I could feel the stresses of city life melting away. The air here is purer, filtered by the densely forested mountains. You can definitely feel the increased oxygen flowing into your brain. The Harvest Barn Inn is perched on a hill above the Connecticut River. When you pull up the winding road you feel a sense of time standing still as you approach the row of 100 year old homes. The property is gracious and well maintained and beautiful flowers surround the front porch. As you walk up, the porch is lined with comfortable Adirondack style chairs for relaxing with a view of the river and surrounding mountains. The floorboards creak welcomingly with the same sound they heard living in the home over 100 years ago. Indoors in the common area there is a coffee and tea bar, a fridge, a sectional sofa, and some tables where you will be served breakfasts that rival any you’ve had before in freshness of local ingredients and just plain taste. Each morning you’ll be greeted by the owners with a delicious array ranging from scrambled eggs and Vermont cheddar, bacon, yogurt parfait with fresh local fruit, and even stunning frittatas and baked goods like their baked strawberry French toast or a delicious fruit galette. We stayed in the 2nd floor corner room called the Connecticut River room which overlooked the river. This was the only room in the b&b with a bathroom down the hall from the room which ended up being totally fine since the bathroom was quite spacious and the water pressure was great for showers. The beds were comfortable and soft. There were plenty of pillows too. The linens were soft and felt very cool as I tend to be a warm sleeper. It was an all around great place to stay. I spent 2 weeks here and will greatly miss it, but I will definitely be back. There is so much more Vermont in store for me!

We had the pleasure of staying at the inn for 3 nights. The hosts were very welcoming and provided a great environment for our stay. The breakfasts were delicious. We loved meeting their new addition, a beautiful baby girl. A very satisfying little get away!

I took my daughter to VT on a whim. I had never stayed at a B&B before (not really feasible as a family of 5) so since it was just us, I figured why not- adds to the adventure. Harvest Barn Inn was probably the best part of our adventure. Kaelan welcomed us when we got there and made us feel at home. Our room was perfect, it felt spacious and cozy. Our view was gorgeous. The bed and bedding was soft but firm and very comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly large for the space and redone beautifully. We were right next to the dinning room area but we never heard another guest or any sort of noise outside of our room. They say in their welcome letter that on weekdays they serve an "abundant continental breakfast" and they are not kidding about abundant. 3 courses and all locally farmed. It was so good even my picky daughter ate most of it. I would absolutely recommend Harvest Barn Inn to others and hope to come back in the near future.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Harvest Barn Inn. We were greeted by Kaelan who made us immediately comfortable that we chose a great place to stay. The Inn was clean . We stayed in a river view room and it gave us a wonderful view of the Conn river The front porch begged us to sit and enjoy the calmness. Make sure you stay for the breakfasts. They are creative and tasty. Make sure you get the “two eggs in a cup”. Special !! David
