My wife and I recently had a two night stay and we were both very impressed with everything about Riverdale Hall. All the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The bedrooms were immaculate and comfortable and there were plenty of space in all the communal areas.It is a nice touch to be able to book the pool for a one hour session so you can have it to yourself. But for all the above good things, I have to say that the food that we had was outstanding. We ate in the restaurant both nights and all four meals we had were superb. We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend Riverdale Hall to anyone.

Excellent hotel and staff. Couldn’t be more helpful. Always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms fantastic food fantastic. Great walks from the door, straight onto river. Staff are attentive to details, happy to accommodate changes. Cheaper to book direct with hotel. If we’re in area it’s our choice of place. Thank you.

Great view from room and very thoughtful and helpful staff. Exceeded expectations. Easy to find and location by the river was really lovely. Restaurant on site was a real bonus after a day of walking. Good weather made the whole experience even better.

Absolutely perfect in every way! The staff make the place, whether it's the attention to detail with the delicious food or whether it's remembering people from one year to the next. I was hosting 50 people for an entire weekend and there wasn't a single grumble or complaint at all. Well done and thank you.

Stayed here for 2 nights, large rooms that are very comfortable with stunning views but what makes this place is the friendly staff and the great food with plenty of gluten free options, all freshly made with local ingredients. Upon returning home yesterday we found we had left behind our phone charger, the staff arranged for it to be posted back to us with no fuss, brilliant customer service.

location perfect staff are helpful and welcoming. Been here loads of times and it never disapoints food is always great we use the self catering accomodation we have 3 dogs so we have lots more room and its more comfortable. Location is perfect so much so we have booked to come back in May

This is a very vibrante hotel, there is always something going on and staff bend over backwards to accommadate one. The chef and resturant staff are excellent, the food is always very good with a seasonal changing menu, that incorporates game. I think the telling sign of any good hotel is the staff. We have been coming here for the past 5 or 6 years regularly twice a year and The Riverdale staff have remained the same, this speaks volumes about the excellent management of the Hotel.

On arrival at reception, I said "Can I check in please" and was greeted with "It depends who you are". Not the best welcome I've ever had! Food, waiting staff and the dining rooms were first class but the rest wasn't. The bedroom was dingy with peeling wallpaper, open cupboards with an exposed ironing board and a tiny TV, however, the accessible ensuite looked new and had a bath and shower and was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Outside was untidy with rubbish in the car park and the whole place looked run down. The hotel kitchen was clearly visible through uncovered windows from the main car park, which hardly creates a welcoming impression. It really needs a really good exterior facelift.
