Fairfield Inn & Suites Alexandria

It is unfortunate that there is not more sound proofing between floors. The first night there was pounding on the floor as if someone was jumping off the bed onto the floor. The second night was much better. In the breakfast area, when people were finished at a table, no one came to clean it. Both mornings my husband and I cleaned the table where we were going to eat. Our room was fine except for the bottle caps found under the sofa. Overall, the staff was polite and would consider staying there again but only on the top floor.

If you have the choice between a One Bedroom Suite and a Studio Suite, which one would you think would have the door sectioning off the one bedroom? If you said one bedroom suite, you would be wrong with this hotel. Both were available and apparently I chose poorly and the hotel could not accommodate changing to what we thought we actually booked. On top of that, they recently started charging for parking, and I chose this hotel based off it not charging for parking as it said in the app, which wasn’t updated when I booked it on May 12 (they started charging May 5). And the pool Was closed our entire stay. Overall abysmal stay but I will say it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff wasn’t rude (though not particularly friendly either). We will not be staying here again.

Had a reservation and the hotel cancelled due to a flood, with no notification nor assistance in helping me find another room. The surrounding area hotels were sold out or more than double the price. An absolute inconvenience with a lack of assistance. Would not recommend this hotel.
