The room facilities were ok, but the air conditioner broke down when we stayed there. The boss switched us to a room opposite and helped us with our luggage, but it was still inconvenient to switch rooms, so I lost a bottle of newly bought makeup remover. Although it was mainly my own fault and I couldn't blame anyone else, it was caused by the room change.

My husband and I needed a last minute hotel before heading to Hopkins and we found this absolutely perfect oasis. Harbour View hotel and the restaurant Martha’s Cafe filled us with peace and rest. The king bed was beyond comfortable and the cool room was an oasis to step into for a respite from the humid coastal air. The pool felt like our own private retreat. Fruit trees and flowers abound. Sitting out on the second floor balcony overlooking the harbour while eating breakfast was a dream. The breakfast was fresh, wholesome and delicious. The coffee strong and perfect. Martha, the owner, came and welcomed us with sincerity and friendship. If you are looking for something much much more than a stale hotel room in a high rise, please book here. You will not be disappointed.

This boutique hotel is a real gem in Belize central area. Being awarded with the chance to sleep in the turquoise cottage called „Scarlet Marcaw“ I enjoyed a week of real hospitality. The beautiful garden with a large lawn, the various wonderful plants and trees and the various birds made me feel being in an oasis in the city. The friendly atmosphere amongst all team made me (travelling as a single) feel welcome and well treated. I was so fortunate to enjoy a special Pilates class every morning on the lawn beside the possibility of the regular yoga course offers. Special mention to the SPA team, I really enjoyed some intense and relaxing massages during my stay.

Very nice, super clean and great AC. Close to the ferry and good restaurant on site. The staff made check in and out easy and quick. The pool was very warm and clean. Beds are comfortable and you feel safe on the property. Great for a couples time away or for a family as well.

As you can see from my other reviews, I’ve visited many places, including long stays in 2nd and 3rd world countries. Even in modest hotels in places like India, you can expect a small kettle for making tea or coffee. The Harbor View was not cheap by any means—$134US/night—but when I inquired at the desk why there was no kettle in the room I was told it was a “transition room” for people staying only one night. The room had a fancy color TV (with Netflix), but couldn’t afford a small coffee maker?! (In other places they provide free coffee in the lobby—no such luck here). The venue and grounds are lovely, but the amenities were disappointingly sparse, especially for the price we paid.

Excellent small hotel. We had a small cottage. The staff is very helpful. We booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel through the hotel. We booked 2 tours from the hotel. They were excellent. It was very convient to eat at Martha's Cafe which is above the hotel reception and across the street from our cottage. The air conditioning was good. The bed and shower were fine. There is 24 hour security on site. Location is great. There is major construction at the Fort George Hotel. This not a problem. The hotel is a bargain. I would stay here again.

We stayed here multiple days. Since our flight arrived in the evening, we stayed the first night and head out the next morning to Tikal NP in Guatemala. A good breakfast place is Le Petite Cafe - a small trailer on Marine Parade Blvd. Good prices for coffee and sandwiches. This hotel was a great location - within walking distance to the ferry terminal and our bus service to Tikal. When we got back from Tikal, we boarded the BZE Express ferry to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, included in our bus/ferry tour package. After 3 nights in San Pedro, we headed back to BZE and stayed here 2 more nights. A great place for dinner is Chicken Express, a 20 min walk on Front Street to Belchina Bridge. The next morning we took the Charlie Chan Cave Rafting Tour. The only negative is when the cruise ships are in, the streets around the hotel are packed with buses, cars, vans, etc.
