This is the second year running we have stayed at Ela Excellence, as we loved our stay in 2024. We travelled during the UK May half term week with our 5 yo and 3 yo daughters. We booked a Superior Seaview Room; this had a kingsize bed and they converted the sofa into a bed (with a proper mattress) and added a second single bed. There was still plenty of room to move about. We had a good sized balcony with a lovely view of the pool, sea, gardens etc. It was lovely to sit and relax on. Something to bear in mind, it was facing the pool bar stage, which often had performances until 11pm at night. The rooms are pretty soundproof, so not too intrusive when trying to sleep, but if this is an issue for you, opt for a Forest View room. The hotel can provide everything you need for your baby / small child, like potty, potty seat, bed guards, baby bath etc. It is worth noting there aren't actual baths in the rooms, just showers. Having never travelled in school holidays before, I was nervous of how busy the hotel would be, but actually it was fine. There are all nationalities staying at this hotel, not just British (staying for half term), so it never felt busy and the resort is so big there is plenty of room for everyone to have sunbeds / places to relax and swim. Only the Olympic pool is heated, so that's where we spent most of our time as our kids preferred it. Although it was certainly hot enough to enjoy a dip in the unheated pools. We love how big the resort is, and going out in the evening to the restaurants feels like an occasion because its a 5 minute walk through beautifully landscaped grounds to get there. You can easily split your time between the beach and the pool. The pier is also lovely, it is for children over 6 years old, however I relaxed there when our 3 yo was napping in her buggy and it wasn't a problem. There are various points where you can step down or jump into the sea to swim and there is a bar with waiter service. An improvement since last year was the addition of QR codes around the pool and beach so you can order drinks to be brought to you. We thought this was brilliant. The quality of the food throughout the resort is excellent. Some of the restaurants charge a subsidy in the evenings, but it was worth it in our opinion. Our favourite restaurants were Galata, La Sofa, La Perla and La Sante. The buffet restaurant is also very good and offers a big variety of choice. There is a children's menu at every restaurant and it is the same at all restaurants - with options of chicken, lamb meatballs, tomato pasta or bolognese and fries. Children can also order off the a la carte menu if they choose to. Our children enjoyed all of the food and they are known to be fussy. A really good touch is the provision of wet wipes on every table, in addition to napkins. Essential with messy kids. Also, babies are provided with disposable bibs. There are a variety of branded spirits included in the all inclusive, however there is no
