Hello All, On my birthday, hubby surprisingly planned Taj Bekal.. Early check in, warm welcome and what a memorable, comforting and relaxing stay.. All our needs were well taken care of and given luxurious treatment. To our surprise, we enjoyed food first time in Kerala as we got variety and too tasty, delicious *JAIN* food.. awesome chefs and special thanks Avdesh ji, F n B manager and team for looking after our food requirements so well.. not to forget the special birthday cake cutting and the candle light table setup...these memories would last a lifetime.. My only suggestion would be ..' pls Arrange veg and non veg food on separate platforms nd not beside one another..' Thank you and we look forward to coming back soon and suggesting you to our friends n family as well. # apologies for this late feedback.

I had the best experience at Taj Bekal, as it was my first trip after my wedding it was exceptionally beautiful to stay at this property. The hospitality was top notch and all the staff members were absolutely wonderful. The staff member Aamir at the restaurant took great care of us.

Really good resort, with the major positive being the property itself — you’ve got the backwaters and the beach on hotel property, and getting around is as easy as walking or calling for a buggy to transport you. Staff is also really warm and take great care of you.
My two major complaints are: 1) food — there needs to be some more variety, and they need to add salt!!!! 2) some of the villas had older/dated plumbing hardware, so the faucets leaked or the shower wouldn’t really get a lot of water out of it. That said, the property is just so beautiful, and the staff so understanding and accommodating when you bring up issues, that I would still highly recommend this place for a getaway.

Our stay at Taj Bekal was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, hospitality of the staff made us feel welcome. Since the common pool was under construction, we were upgraded to a Premium Pool Villa for an extra day beyond what we had booked. We loved Chai Kada arrangement in the evening. The food throughout our stay was simply wonderful. Thanks to Jithu who encouraged us to try the By the Bay restaurant — we absolutely loved the prawns with fisherman marination! The staff at the restaurant deserve a special callout for their outstanding service. Shibani, Jithu, Amir, Somyatesh and Ankita were all incredibly friendly, attentive. They also made my husband’s birthday celebration very special. Our compliments to Chef Sahu and Vijay for preparing such delicious food and taking the time to personally check if we were enjoying our meals. We were also impressed by the excellent housekeeping service — Murgeshan was especially helpful and ensured we felt at home. Finally, a big thank you to Prabhakar, the manager at the entry, provided excellent guidance on places to visit in Bekal. Every member of the Taj Bekal team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Their warmth, attention to detail, and commitment to great service reflect Taj’s renowned hospitality standards. We loved our time here and will definitely plan to come back. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Lovely property, great service. I would say perfect holidya but for a few things: 1.The housebaot ride was a fraud. 15000 for nothing!! Bad experience. Horrid unsafe entry to the boat through unstable walkways, nothing much to see or enjoy. Snacks were mediocre. Tak shpuld nto be linked to this kind of experince. This was plugged to us, adn we lfelt tricked. There is no need for thi when it is better fomr the property itself!! I would like my money back. 2. Everything is a little dated, particularly bathroom. Outdoor tubs not workng. 3. Food was not Taj level. Neither varety nor taste. 4. There was no point in the By the Bay restaurant. ( almost same menu, same expereice, too many steps) 5. The spa was a total dud. Absolutely not worth the time or money, What made it fel like we were at a Taj property were its people- 1. Prabhakar- who was always there , and ready to help. Immedicately addressed allissues to our satisfaction. Exemplary service 2. Amir Khan at the Backwater Cafe was prompt, attentive and had the warmth we associate with Taj.. 3. Srilakshmi at front also provided wonderful service. The lcoation and amenities of your property are exceptional. Thank you,

Our first real monsoon holiday! After a long tiring drive from Bangalore, entering the Taj, Bekal was an experience! The most surprising thing was a lot of Ganesha statues all over the property... it felt really nice! Novel experience, at least for us, staying at a place with so many Ganesha and elephant statues! As we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Ms. Srilakshmi, Mr. Dinesh Varma and Mr, Nagaraj Attavaram and all the concierge staff. Check-in was absolutely smooth and special thanks to Ms. Srilakshmi who has made us feel comfortable, gave us a tour around the property before showing us to our room. And that is a really great room with a great view in a great property!! The next day gets better. With a complimentary upgrade to a private villa with a great view that got even better! To top it, it rained cats and dogs... and having heard so much about rains in Kerala this is the first time we have seen it pour the way it poured and experiencing it from our newly upgraded villa... one has to experience it to understand it! That is what I call a holiday... sitting in comfort and watching it rain non-stop! Heartfelt thanks to every single member of the staff for making our stay a very memorable one! Special mention to Pradeep and Aashish from the concierge, Srilakshmi, Shruthi at the front desk, Yashoda, Shivani, Dipankar, Jitu, Chef Harit, Chef Jena at restaurants, Vishnu from house keeping... and every other member of your team who we have not met but are equally competent! We are sure to come back... and most likely during the rains, again :-)
