I accidentally booked the wrong date online (the 29th), but thankfully, both Ctrip and the hotel's customer service teams helped me switch to the correct date at 1 AM. I'm incredibly grateful!
I've always vacationed in Sanya before. A long time ago, I visited Fangchenggang and had a terrible experience with its dark, dirty sea. This time, with only a three-day break, I decided to try Beihai, and to my absolute surprise, the hotel's service was fantastic! The staff greeted everyone with a smile, and the hotel was clearly well-staffed. Free bottled mineral water was always available for guests. In Sanya, you usually only get water in your room and have to pay extra for juices or coconut water elsewhere, so this hotel truly offers incredible value for money!
The only minor drawback was the absence of a private beach, unlike Sanya, but everything else was superb. The 378 yuan double package included a generous amount of seafood, which would be absolutely impossible to find at that price in Sanya. They even surprised my child with a birthday cake on the 28th, which thrilled them! The hotel truly embodied a 'home away from home' and customer-centric service philosophy, making our stay unforgettable and thoroughly satisfying. I'll definitely be returning for this amazing service!

Next to the beach walk and away from the fireworks.
Crowne had all the things needed. But, stock the bar to fit the menu advertised ;-) Make sure to trek to the art gallery and IOMA. Big Whale bar is on the walkway behind the hotel. Snacks and full bar. About 25-30 minutes from Old Street and 15-29 minutes from the Weizhou Ferry Port (has mall). Fireworks beach maybe 10 minutes away with food stalls.

There are the details that star hotels should have.
The entrance to the hotel is a fast filling pile, about 20 piles. But there is no shuttle bus waiting there. You have to go a long uphill by yourself. The advantage is that there is no space occupancy fee, and it is full of no need to run down and move the car.
Staff in the lobby pick up large luggage, and family staff of young children will always take it to the room.
The housekeeper Xue saw very well, and you will succeed in everything. Call in advance to explain the hotel situation. I mentioned that I was taking the child. When I arrived on the spot, I found that the anti-off block had been installed, and the children's bathrobes, toiletries, and pillows were arranged. Very hearty.
The pool is very clean, there are lifeguards all the time, and the sense of security is full.
There are many varieties of breakfast, but the category is similar. But it is very hearty that the casserole porridge is really cooked, and the fruit is also freshly cut.
The bedding is very good and comfortable, but if you are used to turning on a night light to sleep, it is a bit troublesome, otherwise it is very bright, or it is all dark. Some management details need to be improved, after all, it is just opened. If you can get up, the room by the sea, you can watch the sunrise on the balcony in the morning.
There is no convenience store near the hotel, you need snacks or other needs to buy it yourself before going there, or take out to get it.
Very close to the beach, very suitable for catching the sea, many crabs and small fish. A little distance from Silver Beach, it is recommended to wait for the sightseeing bus after going out at the back door of the hotel and spend some money to play in the car.

Had a really mixed stay at this Hotel. Only booked one night, with the option of extending, but decided against.
My wife and I came on separated flight, with mine delayed over 5 hours. I arrived at 02:00 past midnight to check-in. First they the reception told me I’m in the wrong hotel. I had to proof my booking with them and the fact that my wife is already in the room. After some discussion they refused to check me in, but told me to call my wife to let me into the room. First, not checking in and registering a foreigner is against the law. Second, why should I wake up my sleeping wife at this late hours? After insisting on being checked in the process went fast and smoothly, which makes me wonder, why the discussions first?
Room was spacious and clean. Nice view over the ocean.
At the breakfast buffet we were greeted by hordes of waiters watching over a half empty buffet, at 09:30. Nearly no western food options and no cold cuts. After asking I was treated to a plate of two pieces of Camembert, hard cheese and some kind of milk cheese. Not the standard for a Sheraton breakfast.
That’s also my final verdict. For this price and being a Sheraton Resort, it’s not up to the standards one would expect from a place with this name.

## Facilities
While the facilities are a bit dated and you can see some wear and tear on the decor, the hotel's spotlessly clean environment is a major plus. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool, indoor pool, children's play area, gym, and more. For families with children, Kaiyuan's amenities are far superior to Marriott's. They offer free swim rings, complimentary mosquito bite relief, alcohol wipes, eyeglass cleaning pads, and band-aids – a level of detail that's truly impressive.
## Hygiene
Guest rooms and public areas are cleaned meticulously, and bath towels are replaced promptly. Overall, the hygiene is excellent.
## Ambiance
The lobby is stunning, featuring a modern Chinese aesthetic that's incredibly photogenic – perfect for snapping some great pictures. While not as sprawling as some Sanya resorts, the hotel is compact yet complete. It features a wedding lawn, and you can reach the beach via a short walk from the back entrance. What's more, there's a convenient foot-washing station by the back door for rinsing off sand after a beach stroll.
## Service
They offer butler service, with a butler meant to greet guests upon arrival. However, our experience started poorly: when we arrived, our assigned butler was absent, leading to a long wait. We were in the main entrance lobby, but the butler seemed confused about its location, insisting on waiting at the front desk area for check-in. She never came to greet us at the actual entrance lobby, despite our initial phone conversation confirming a 'meet-and-greet' service. This discrepancy from what was promised was frustrating and caused a significant delay. I eventually had to find the butler myself. Even when she finally did assist with check-in, there was no expedited process; it was just like a regular guest checking in. Up to this point, her role felt largely ineffective.
It was only *after* check-in that the butler's true value became apparent. She guided us to our room, provided a comprehensive overview of the hotel's facilities, essential check-in information, dining options and timings, beach safety tips, and even local Beihai attractions. Her response to our request for extra children's toiletries was impressively swift. Kudos to Butler Liu Fang for her subsequent excellent service!
## Lobby Bar Buffet Afternoon Tea
The lobby bar offers a daily buffet afternoon tea. No reservations are needed; you can simply drop in anytime.
## Travel Photography Service (1 session)
We also tried the travel photography service, and the results were quite good! Although two photos were complimentary, the quality was so exceptional that we ended up splurging 698 RMB on 13 retouched photos, with all digital negatives included.
## Breakfast
Breakfast was extensive, featuring a delightful mix of Chinese and Western dishes. They also offered local Beihai specialties like shrimp cakes, *shuihe* (a local pastry), and *juanfen* (rice noodle rolls). The highlight for us was the boiled rice noodles, which were incredibly tasty, and you could add as many condiments and toppings as you liked.

Traveling with two children, the location is very close to the passenger port. Thank you to Xiao Zhang from the reservation department for upgrading the room. The check-in was quick and the room was clean. There were fresh fruits in the room every day and many extra bottles of water were given every day. I have eaten breakfast, Chinese food, and buffet in the hotel. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The Chinese food is plentiful and reasonably priced, but the waiters in the Chinese restaurant are not as enthusiastic as the front desk and appear to be slack. The buffet is okay. The good food stall on the left side of the north gate of the hotel is good, and it feels better than the internet celebrity restaurant Yuexiang Kitchen in Qiaogang Fengqing Street.

The room is clean and tidy, the newly renovated house is very exquisitely decorated, the room has children's toys, the old street is downstairs, the living is very quiet, very close to the beach, the transportation is very convenient, the boss is also very enthusiastic, the mattress and pillows are more comfortable than the pillows of Sheraton and the all-season hotel. Service, this is the highest evaluation I gave on Trip.com , the only reason I didn't give full marks to the only facility is that if you have a washing machine and a rental electric car for tourists, there is no defect perfect!
