Felt utterly spoilt and pampered. Our hostess Elaine was very friendly & welcoming, and virtually a "walking encyclopedia" with her interest in Australian history and local knowledge. The accommodation was very beautiful, harping back to the colonial times of Australia, with high ceilings, but with current day luxuries for our modern sensibilities. Only problem was Elaine made I and my husband sleep on the "verandah"! Kidding....it was a more recent addition to The Graces and seamlessly integrated into the older section of this historic house. Beechworth in parts reminded me strongly of The Blue Mountains west of Sydney, NSW, with its alpine climate and beautiful, old houses. Upon arrival our breakfast order was taken and this was a delicious cooked breaky. Couldn't recommend this luxury B&B more highly. Don't miss out on a stay here!

Beautifully restored period home set in beautiful gardens. Wonderful room with everything you need plus some little gift surprises from our host. Comfortable firm bed, great pillows, with a yummy cooked breafast. Host, Elaine, was funny, friendly and informative. We loved our stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed 5 nights and felt completely at 'home'. Elaine a wonderful host and deft hand with breakfast - loved her specialties, bircher museli with comport, meats and cheeses, as well as the usual hot choices. Room very comfortable and spent late afternoons on the verandah, watching the bees in the roses and cottage flowers, perfect. A short stroll to dinner every night so great location. Give it a try.

From the moment we arrived at The Graces, Elaine made us feel welcome. Our room was large and comfortable and a warm haven from the winter chill. So too was the lounge with its open fire and comfy chairs. Elaine was a great host, from providing afternoon tea on arrival, making delicious breakfasts and showing us around the property. She provided lots of information about the history of the area and advice about things and places we would want to see and do, which made our short stay really interesting and enjoyable. We will certainly be back , thank you Elaine

The Graces Beechworth is a wonderful place to stay, walking distance to all features of Beechworth, very comfortable rooms, warm in the depths of winter and a hostess who provides a great cooked breakfast and is so knowledgeable about local history and all the wonderful places to visit in the surrounding areas. The Grace's Bbechworth is lovely accommodation, close to town ( walk to cafes and restaurants in 5 minutes, the road is flat). A lovely old house set in a lovely cold climate garden. The owner Elaine greets you with a warm welcome, shows you around the house and tells the history of the building. She told us some of Beechworths history, there are coffee table books on the subject in the lounge room. The rooms are warm, bed is comfy, extra such as umbrella, ironing board are to be found in armoire. Bedroom was very quiet. There is parking for 3 cars on site. Breakfasts are plentiful and a good choice that should suit everyone. This is served in the dining room around a communal table, we had wonderful fellow guests to talk with each morning. The lounge room is a lovely space to spend time in after dinner, we set the fire and enjoyed that very much on 2 evenings. Elaine provides a lovely gift of Florentines, carafe of port and small bottle of proseco. A nice touch. We spent 3 night here, and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. The only quibble I had was low water pressure in the shower, but this is a first world problem, and by no means detracts from our enjoyment of staying at The Grace's. During our stay there were 2 other couples that were return guests, that says a lot about a business. We would definitely stay here again on visits to Beechworth.

We have just returned from 2 nights in Beechworth, staying at The Graces What a great spot. A beautiful old home, ideally located within walking distance to town, and a gracious and knowledgeable host in Elaine who was able to provide excellent information about local sights, places to eat, and even advice on options to vary our trip home. Thoroughly recommended

We had a lovely stay at the Graces. Elaine went to so much trouble to make sure the property was beautifully prepared and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the little extras, expecially the home made florentines, and the cooked breakfast in the morning eaten in the garden was superb. The property is a short easy walk to the main street of beechworth and the room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend staying here if you're heading to Beechworth.
