Location & Accessibility: The hotel is conveniently located near Burger King, Greggs, and a fuel station, all within a short walking distance . It is accessible via major roads and offers ample parking space.

It did the job! The hotel is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer and is located in the gas station parking lot. It’s a good stay if you need to be in the area though and the staff was friendly!

The whole property is incredibly dated, the staff didn't seem to care about anything and the room had a smell. The matress on the bed seemed uneven. Do yourself a favour book into somewhere else

When we arrived , we were a little disappointed by the area. Definitely more of a pit shop, lorry drivers hostel/hotel . We were welcomed by a man siting directly in front of the entrance doors smoking and a slight drug look about him. Once checked in, we found our room. Considering we have stayed in plenty of brand name hotels ( Travelodge and Premier Inns etc) I can only stay it must be a ‘Bedford thing’ of paying £80 -£90 for a room and getting very very little for it. Once in our room, we noticed our windows had been left open which was nice as it was a hot day. However, when we tried to close the right window, it wouldn’t shut at all and then noticed how dirty the netting was with a brownish stain running down it. The next thing we noticed was the bathroom door didn’t shut either. The door was too big and the bottom had a plank of wood glued to the bottom floor which caused the door not shutting. The skirting board had chipped paint, not a little, a lot ! The red chair was very worn with patches of the grey sewing. The bath had not been cleaned properly and the mat was filthy. Needless to neither of us had a shower night or morning. When I woke up (several times due to people outside from 4/5am ! ) I was in a real rush to leave. The bikers, lorry drivers , noise from the petrol station and Greg’s/ Burger King should be noted on the information for customers that sleep may be disturbed. On exit, the reception was closed (7.30am) as we left, to nurses were pushing their way through the door, same time as us (so maybe it’s a Bedford rude /lazy thing) the receptionists were both outside the entrance having a smoke. Really was not worth the money we paid and I would urgh people to heavily avoid this place which reminds me more of a pit stop or hostel . The Roxie should be more £20-£40.

Noisy, right next to a petrol station, Greggs and Burger King. Constant traffic right under the window. Really hot with very little ventilation, can't have windows open due to the noise. Just book somewhere else

Where do I start. The light in my room didn’t work , I reported it within an hour of arrival. Got back next day, still not working . Whet to tell them again, stated he would contact his supervisor. I returned a little while later to see what was happening, receptionist never there , just a notice saying back in a few minutes. I sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting, no receptionist. I tried at least 3 more times that evening, never there . Next morning, I mentioned it to another member of staff who informed me they wouldn’t fix the light whilst someone was occupying the room and they could move me rooms. This was now my third day there but no one had mentioned to me that they wouldn’t fix the light whilst someone was in the room. Got the usual empty apologies, I said if someone had told me that the first day I would have moved but I couldn’t be bothered now as everything was unpacked. I left a day early as the surroundings weren't ideal and to be honest I’d had enough of some of the other clientele. When I left I said bye to the receptionist. I didn’t even get a grunt, just picked my key up and threw it in the shoot. How damn rude. I will never stay in a travel lodge ever again . Avoid at all costs

The bed was comfy so slept well, clean linen and towels but that is where the good bits end. On checking in and entering toe room there was no tea, coffee, milk etc I had to go back to reception and ask for some. Hardly any toilet roll and on taking a shower in the morning we discovered that the hair and body dispenser was completely empty. The net curtain was badly split open and not hanging right. He 2 chairs were old snd split in places. I paid an extra £40 to have our 2 small dogs with us. It seemed that we were given the worst room in the hotel and that the servicing of the room had not been completed or checked before we arrived. I will not recommend this Travelodge and will not return. I'd rather pay more somewhere else!

Amaranth was ever so helpful, which always makes it more palatable on budget hotels. Having lived across Asia for years in hotels, the strict human focus can't be any more professional. Well done young man, a way to go. The stranger
