We were given room 103. When we got there the door was propped open and the microwave open. The night clerk, who was very nice, said that she had not been told about any problems, that they must have forgotten to close the door. So, we went in and relaxed a bit. The room smelled like smoke, even though it was non- smoking, and I started having problems with coughing. My husband used the microwave to warm something, and it started smoking and I could see fire in it. He immediately turned it off and I unplugged it, but you could smell and see smoke. We were given another room, but by that point I just worried about fire down the hallway. The second room was clean, but the beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. Didn't get a lot of sleep. Breakfast was not good. Two sugary cereals, white bread for toast, some prewrapped pastries, and some Yoplait yogurt. Coffee was not good. We won't be going back to this hotel. The only good part was the night clerk who said she was just there helping out. We did notice the next morning that they had removed the defective microwave.
