Super 8 by Wyndham Beckley

Typically, we stay in Summersville, WV when making a north-to-south drive, but we were enjoying the scenery and continued to Beckley. That was a mistake. Having stayed in a couple of other Super 8 hotels recently, we select the one in Beckley. Without question this was the dirtiest hotel we have visited in the past 10 years. I don't think the carpet in the room has been vacuumed for a couple of months. Roaches were exiting and entering uncaulked tiles by the bathtub. The room was non-smoking but smelled of the smoke from other parts of the facility. The blankets on the beds had multiple burn holes. The bath towels were worn, thin, and more eggshell colored and white. The surrounding restaurants were mediocre. All of that for one of the higher prices we encountered for a Super 8. On the positive side: The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the refrigerator and wifi worked. However, we will say either in Summersville or Bluefield next time.

This was the most nasty place that I have ever stayed. If I could share my pictures here, you would know what I mean. I was in a spot and could not get a room elsewhere! I had a reservation for four nights, but OMG I should have just slept in my car! Don't t stay here!

Room was clean, staff was great and check in and out was great. Nothing to complain about. If ur traveling it’s a good little stop

Rooms were clean staff treated us like family breakfast was more than we expected waffles, bagels, cereal toast coffee juice milk pretty much something for everyone in our family sad to have had to go . Free newspaper wifi 5hey went above and beyond to fix any issues if any at all

sheets/blankets were clean but thin from lots of use and washing - time for new ones? the outside appearance of the hotel was a little shabby - gives an impression of the what the rooms will be like

Poor cleanliness and disrepair of guest rooms and poor breakfast choices. I left hungry. Not worth the $104 I paid.

The room had not been vaccuumed. Waste was still in the trash cans from former clientelle. When we took it to the desk, the explanation was, "Yeah, our cleaning people aren't very dependable."

Didn't expect much because of the price but come on vacuum the floors and at least try to clean. Smelled like wet, dirty dogs. Comforters were so dirty we threw them off the bed.

Was going to stay but after checking in, went to our room turned on the light and a bug ran off, upon checking the drawers found a baby and full grown roaches (they ran off before i was able to take a picture). Told front desk he tried to give us room and when we got into it didn't find roaches in the drawer but found bedbugs when I went to unzip the mattress to check it (pictures below) and blankets had burn holes and weird brown stains... we went to front desk and got refund and left
