Basic older hotel which has been “updated.” Rooms are non-smoking; however the amount of smokers outside made our room smell like smoke. We were on the first floor. Breakfast was your standard breakfast for a Hampton Inn. Pool was decent. Staff were nice and friendly. Convenient location with lots of place to eat near by.

Clean and comfortable Hampton met all expectations. Very professional staff. Elevators quick. Breakfast excellent. Parking is somewhat tight.

The staff I encountered in this hotel were all excellent. My room was very worn looking (scuffs everywhere, bathroom with peeling paper etc.). On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, the A/C system was quiet and worked well (did not cycle on and off as many do), and the towels were plush. The breakfast was the usual good selection for a Hampton Inn (including hard boiled eggs and omelets on one day, and freshly made oatmeal). Only 1 (of 2) elevators was working the entire time we were there. I did not use the outdoor pool, but it looked like people were enjoying it.

The location was good and the hotel is clean. There were enough towels. Those are the pros. The billing is never right and you have to get the front desk to fix it. We had to wait to get this done. The front desk did fix the error upon check out. My biggest complaint is the lack of updates on the hotel. Everything inside the motel was worn, especially the bathroom. I miss when they used to give you actual bottled shampoo, soaps. The pump bottles that everyone uses just doesn’t get it. The universal soap bottles looked old and dirty. The breakfast bar is typical of all the hotels now. The lady that was working in the breakfast bar was extremely nice so that was nice.

We needed a stopping point on our way North. This was near the town where I was born so we thought we would take a look one more time. The location was pretty good, but the hotel is in serious need of a renovation. Quite expensive for the condition of the hotel. Breakfast was really mediocre. They didn’t even have biscuits or wheat bread for toast. Would not stay here again.

Well located off of the highway, this place was dated and below average for a Hampton Inn. We appreciated the remote checkin and checkout. The room, though dated (with worn wood cabinets and older — and loud — AC units), was relatively clean (the vent above the bath tub was rusted). The breakfast was average. There was some type of egg and melted cheese on toast dish. The lack of signs made it impossible to know what was being served. They did have a waffle maker with batter and syrup, fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. There is easy access to the hotel from the highway and the property is located near restaurants. (There’s a Texas Roadhouse next door, a highly rated Italian restaurant in walking distance, among other nearby places.). Not bad for an overnight stay, but not among the better Hampton Inns that we’ve been to.

We stayed here for the night while heading home to SC. The Princeton, WV, Hampton was full. I called in the room on the road. The room was average. Repairs are needed just to update this location. Looking old and worn down. The room cost, $253.60 for one night! I have no idea why it's so expensive? The Hampton Inn at the Cambridge, OH, location was only $151.89. It was clearer and located off freeway. No idea why this location is so expensive.
