Stayed here 2 years ago as a family of 9 . and we loved. it sadly disappointed this time .rooms really does need some TLC.peter who looked after us all on the first night and for the next couple of night was fab and so helpful lovely helpful friendly guy .breakfast service was good for 2 morning .but felt on the last morning they couldn't be bothered no tea and no toast we had to ask for it .sorry to say we wont be back such a shame lovely wee village .but the place really needs some money invested in the accomodations .can't fault the food it was fab xxxx

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ROOMS AT THE WOOLPACK INN WARMINSTER ROAD BECKINGTON. ROOMS WERE NOT CLEAN , ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOM. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, STAFF SURLY, WE HAD TO KEEP ASKING FOR BOWLS CUTLERY MILK AND YOGHURT AT BREAKFAST . BAR STAFF EXCELLENT.

Arrived for a three night stay to find in our room the shower rail bent, wallpaper coming of the wall and a loose toilet seat. Says free onsite parking only six slots ten plus rooms and people visiting pub for meals. WiFi poor, no phone reception reported problems with room told it would be fixed , return that evening not done excuse the maintenance for Green king did not class is a emergency, very disappointed with stay paint flaking of wood work , would not recommend

Fourth visit to meet family.i find this hotel a very comfortable place to stay .yes the rooms are very good and you get a good nights sleep Food is excellent . What makes this place is the staff they make this hotel because they go out of there way to help there guests stay as relaxing and this is a full team effort from the managers to the cleaners ..my family always enjoy meeting there as we know the greetings we get and our stay we have . Sadly the food was below adverage with all three carveries we ordered, over cooked roast potatoes, the beef was medium rare but really tuff, the pork was pink in the middle. The positives are the staff are nice and friendly and a lovely village to visit. Sadly we wont be returning any time soon!! A real shame that a basic meal gets delivered to the table that 50% of it cant be eaten.

Usually very good food. Sadly this Sunday and last Sunday my meal was not up to there usual standard. My husbands meal was not great this time either. The bar person took on board our comments and gave us a discount which was appreciated. Please get back on track as we like going there.

Very warm welcome. Lovely food. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed 2 nights in room 12 which was a lovely double room. The bar was great with a log fire and a good range of drinks on offer . Close enough to take a short drive to spend time in Bath. Will definitely visit again.

This is a lovely pub in a very pretty village full of gorgeous old buildings. The staff are really friendly and the pub has lots of character. They have a couple of very nice bitters - I highly recommend Butcombe's - and the lamb shank is yumptious!

I booked for my husband, daughter and I to stay for two nights as part of a mini break between Christmas and New Year. Unfortunately, my husband was unwell over the Christmas period and unable to make it, so it was just my 12 year old daughter and I. I booked through *********** and was able to easily change our room from a superior double (with sofabed) to a twin, saving myself around £30. We were met with a very warm, friendly welcome upon arrival and shown to our room, up on the top floor in the attic. What a beautiful, charming room - spacious, clean,cosy, comfortable and warm, with all the old English rustic charm you'd expect from a building of this age in a quaint Somerset village! We got settled and went down into the pub area for dinner. Again, we received a really friendly welcome and great service. The pub itself is very pretty and was "dressed up" for the festive season. Our drinks order was promptly taken and delivered - the range of non-alcohol beer, cider, and cocktails is pretty good, better than most pubs, and very welcome, as I don't drink, but like an alternative "grown up" option. Our meals were ordered, some options were off-menu, but they were fully booked, so this was unsurprising. I chose the lamb shank and my daughter the macaroni cheese, which arrived in good time considering how busy they were, hot, really delicious and with very pleasant service! The same with desserts (sticky toffee pudding with custard and chocolate brownie) - prompt, delicious and nothing was too much trouble! We had a very comfortable night's sleep, a bit too comfortable as we were almost late for breakfast! However, we were accommodated and looked after really well but a really lovely lady, whose name I didn't catch. Breakfast choices are excellent and we both plumped for the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, which was, again, delicious! The chef deserves a special mention too, because every meal we had (two evening meals, two desserts and two breakfasts) were really lovely! We had another relaxing, comfortable night and left for a great day out in nearby Bath after breakfast on New year's eve, before heading home to Kent. The pub was in an excellent location for our planned trip to Longleat too, which was absolutely magical! An excellent, warm, cosy accommodation with a gorgeous team of staff, delicious food and drink, and a fab location - so good, I've already booked again for my daughter's birthday in March!
