Beautiful two bedroom apartment in an old house with private entrance and outdoor dining patio. Perfect for a couple or small family as there is only one bathroom. Gorgeous gardens and flowers with private gated parking. Very close drive to wineries or tasting rooms as well as area Chateaus and villages. No food onsite but Grocery store within 3 kilometers for use in the full kitchen. Bottle of local wine was a nice Welcome gift. Owners/managers couldn’t be nicer. Great base for Chinon area exploring.

What a beautiful and very comfortable stay in the Loire. You want for nothing in this oasis. We arrived quite late and Anna and Bruno so welcoming and helpful. The residence is unbelievably beautiful and huge. Such a wonderful respite after long days out exploring the valley. Situated 5 minutes from beautiful Chinon and the Fortress, and Avoine. Easy drives to spectacular Fontevraud, D'usee, Montsoreau and Saumur. Fantastic !

The place was beautiful with a well appointed kitchen. Travel to and from the sights in Chinon and beyond was easy. The people who own the place are an absolute delight to deal with. We wish our travel plans could have allowed us to stay longer!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le gîte La Pénesais. Anne et Bruno sont de très charmants hôtes. Ils nous ont chaleureusement accueillis en nous partageant de précieuses informations sur la région, les activités et les lieux à visiter. Le gîte est idéalement localisé en plein cœur des domaines viticoles et à moins de 10 mn en voiture de Chinon. La résidence où nous avons séjourné est spacieuse, d’une propreté exemplaire et très bien équipée. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !
