0 stars. Planned a family stay which would bring our family together and have some adventures in process. However property was so dated. On further inspections in need some tlc, peeling wallpaper. Damaged chairs, mirrors, ceiling, No vacuum No mop Some serious investment required. The property had two shower rooms. A pink shower room! And a let’s throw things into the room with no thought room. The kitchen was very limited. Glass cups?!? We had to purchase our own knives and chopping board. No cafetière. The property is littered with labels! Which makes it untidy. There is a large dinning table in the kitchen which dominates the room. A lot of teapots which again makes place look cluttered, dated and not covid safe. The property has not had a deep clean I slept in main room downstairs, which having mobility problems was ok, however no downstairs toilet so be prepared to climb same level of stairs as Wetherspoons. Again not disability friendly. We had a leak from pink bathroom and host claimed “resolved” we had a leak. Advised and wasn’t particularly interested. Just a mystery. So we had to use all towels as no mop bucket to clear up water. And buy soap powder to wash the towels. Again host didn’t offer any help! Now the shared pool. You share with guests in a house close by, and chalets. The pool was filthy, covered in slime. Insects. You are required to roll the pool cover off and onto the pool. So again not disability friendly. After spending 3 days cleaning the pool for use as it seems host never had. We had enough. My other half had to pull cover while inside pool and almost slipped on the slime. Due to very poor hygiene my family were unwell, advised host no apology. The pool had signs of damage round outside. Dead spiders on Fake grass. Upon check out, despite our issues, I cleaned the property. Washed the towels left drying in porch. Smelt lovely compared to stale smell when we arrived. Stripped beds. Ensure bins emptied and in associated bins. Left windows open for fresh air and as per most covid requirements. End of the 4 night break we were exhausted, felt robbed and disheartening. The property isn’t far from Loch Ness and Inverness but I wouldn’t recommend here unless you want to risk your health. The host reviewed myself and claimed I left place untidy and left pool cover off frequently. There were other guests on site and pool wasn’t used as we felt like workers rather than guests. And I never leave properties a mess! As a experienced traveller I wouldn’t recommend this place.
