New owner has made changes and not for the good. The inn needs work. Slowly deteriorating. I’m not sure how you can walk by issues everyday and not fix them. As for the “ continental breakfast”, this was the worst. Major change from the previous owner. Probably the last time we will go there.

This was our first visit to Petosky and we selected this bed & breakfast due to the charm and history we read. It did not live up to our expectations. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. We arrived a little early and after traveling for 4 1/2 hours were told we could just hang out in the lobby. We had made dinner reservations at the. 1911 restaurant for 5:30 - we went down around 5:15 and were told to come back closer to 5:30 (they were not busy). Right after that another couple came in with no reservation and was not staging there and they sat them!? Made us feel like we were not dressed appropriately or something?! Food was ok but there are better restaurants in downtown Petosky for the price. Parking is challenging and basically limited to the street wherever available. Overall, not worth the price

It was an historic opportunity and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was delicious. There is no elevator so you need to be physically able to do stairs with luggage. The rooms were neat and clean and comfortable. Not modern but we liked that. The lady who checked us in was a little grouchy but rest of staff was great. Wish there was some written history on the Inn and surrounding community for guests to read.

We have loved the Inn for many years. However, we do have a suggestion. Sadly the breakfast has changed from last year. It used to be a full breakfast and it was so welcoming ion our first morning. It has changed to continental with mediocre pastries. We would happily pay more for our stay to include a breakfast worthy of this lovely hotel. Thank you in advance for listening to our feedback.

Liked old fashioned charm of hotel. Really cool place. Controller for climate was either not working or too difficult for this old guy to figure out. Maybe put some printed instructions for how to work the remote. We were in room 212. Was not a major detraction from our stay, just a little frustrating, otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
