First of all very disappointed that we were not informed that the road up to the hotel was closed. A lovely lady who lived locally gave us alternative directions. Mentioned this on checking in and receptionist said Sat Nav should have been able to give us correct information. ‘We do not have sat nav’.Perhaps an email from hotel or a text would have helped with our stress levels. She quickly checked us in and as there were a group of people chatting loudly in that area it was hard to hear her. We had to call her back from her desk and had to ask to be redirected again. Not a very professional check in. First impression of room , nice furnishings and a lovely bathroom. Towels hard and one a little frayed around the edges. As under 5foot mirror on bathroom wall clearly for taller people. Bedroom carpet stained in several places and walls badly marked. Pillows of poor quality and no pillow protectors covering them, just a pillowcase. Mattress would have benefitted from a good topper. Hospitality tray in drawer by fridge, included 2 bottles of water. From the instructions on what is provided in the room , stated tea and coffee maker, showing a symbol of coffee maker. Kettle also displayed. Needs to be made clear that Standard rooms have kettle and superior rooms have coffee maker. Disappointed with dinner which we had in a room following from the bar. Overpriced pub food. Disappointed with the table near us feeding their dog at the table. Very unhygienic. We had booked breakfast but decided to give it a miss. Infact disappointed with the whole stay , also my husband had to ask reception if we could have the heating turned on. Will not recommend or have a further stay.

I love this pub! Have lunched here during the week many times but this was the first Sunday roast and it certainly didn't disappoint!! Absolutely marvellous! Can't recommend enough. Staff are lovely too. Can't wait to go back for more. Keep up the good work.

Lovely hotel with good food. The king garden rooms are well worth the extra money and are in the annex which is a short walk to main building. So peaceful. Staff friendly and attentive especially Monday restaurant staff and the breakfast waitress! Centrally positioned to visit all places of interest in the area. A gem of a find!

We arrived at 11 30am and paid the extra £25 to check in at 12 instead of 3pm. Very friendly chat on arrival, checked in, got a drink and snack before getting into our room to change and go to Hedsor House for a wedding. The Chequers is a large pub/ restaurant/ hotel. Lots of rooms and space to eat and drink in the bar area, along with a new building housing further rooms which we stayed in. Nicely done, nicely furnished and a peaceful stop overnight after a long day. Bed not most comfortable. Breakfast the next day is quite limited. But was really tasty and hot. Service excellent. It is not a buffet style. We went for full English cooked to order and my wife had poached eggs on toast (not on the menu). Suggest to ask if you want something as it isn’t clear what’s on offer really and you do not get told. All in all I would definitely come back, and is a great location for HH. Enjoy

Beautiful historic inn that served top quality food, generous portions with very friendly, attentive service in a relaxed dining environment. Looking forward to returning for another meal and trying some more of a very tasty, varied menu.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Chequers. Our room was very nice and comfortable and our evening meals were all excellent, with a wide choice on offer, both in terms of size and cuisine. Service was always professional and its location, on a country lane surrounded by Chilterns countryside, was superb. Easy access to the M40 (& M25) should you need to travel further afield. We took the room-only option so cannot comment on breakfast but would expect it to be to the same high standard. The decor mixes modern convenience with old world charm very successfully.

Near Marlow but in a secluded setting and well worth going to for the service, accommodation and food. Our room was very comfortable and clean , the furnishings appeared new and it was well equipped. We also dined and were impressed with the food.

Stayed here for one night after a late flight in to Heathrow. Room was compact but big enough and was very clean and well appointed. It appeared to have been recently refurbished. Bathroom was clean with appropriate toiletries provided. Breakfast was an extra £12.50 for an excellent cooked breakfast. Staff were great and overall a good place to stay to the West of London. If Im flying in and need a place to stay before heading North this will be top of the list.
