The accommodation impresses with its delicious, varied breakfast and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and tranquil location near Marlow. However, some may find the area too secluded.

Had couple of issues with our food/lunch, very average pub food nothing special, not worth the prices charged, will not be going back, very disappointing, lady that served us was lovely but overall not great.. wine is very expensive here..

Went for a team lunch with colleagues. I had the vegan option (courgettes either pickled beetroot and a wild garlic pesto) which was very nice and reasonably priced. The service was good and the restaurant area was nice and looked newly decorated.

Just stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious and modern bedrooms. We were in the new modern block and had loads of room and patio doors with a little seating area outside. The bed was comfortable and the room had robes, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge. The bathroom was clean and modern and there was also loads of storage space (although only 4 hangars which I felt wasn’t enough as we had our wedding gear and other stuff to hang - but not a deal breaker!) We ate dinner on the first night and had a drink in the lively bar area first which has a great atmosphere and is an old timber framed coaching inn. Dinner in the modern restaurant was good. We had a very friendly and helpful waitress - in fact all the staff were equally pleasant. My food was good - cauliflower fritters - not the best I’ve ver had but fine - but my cod was delicious. Hubby had fish & chips & said it was v good. Decent wine list with a good choice. Prices are what you would expect for a decent pub grub - about £60 a head for 2 courses with wine (£45 for the bottle we had). I’m sure of we’d eaten in the bar area and drunk beer the bill would have been much less - but the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is a bit quieter if that’s what you want. The breakfast was decent although it did seem to take a while to come out. Non option to just have coffee and toast or a continental b/fast though. Full English (or kippers) or nothing. Anyway - I would definitely recommend staying there if in the area and would return if we were there again. Near Clivedon House and gardens and lots of other places to see - pretty part of the world.

A lovely restuarant at the back of the hotel, at the front its a lovely local bar, to the rear, a nicely appointed restuarant. All staff were nice and friendly. We had the Sunday roast and the veg was some of the tastiest I have ever tasted in my 65 years. There is a car park here, but it gets busy. Would we return = Yes

Goodness I love this place! It’s tucked out the way and is the perfect cosy country pub. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is wonderful. Grab a table by the fire if you can, or sit outside for the perfect sundowner spot. We did this whilst listening to the local owls in the nearby trees- wonderful!

We were at Chequers Inn for my 80th. birthday lunch for 50 people. All our family and friends were delighted with the food,, service and how all the staff looked after us all afternoon. My family stayed with us at the hotel that night and yet again the service and breakfast was excellent. A lovely place to go for a casual lunch or dinner at anytime and a great venue for a special occasion.
