Okay - to start, I travel a lot with my career. I am highest member in IHG, Hilton, and will achieve the status in 2023 with Bonvoy, Marriott. I can attest that the Staybridge Suites are above some of the Marriott brands and superior to almost all Hilton Brands. If you have not tried IHG, Staybridge - give them a try. It's unlikely you will be disappointed and the reward program with IHG is one of the top 3. What I like about the Staybridge Suites Houston East Baytown most is the friendly staff. Megan goes out of her way as manager to make sure you are taken care of. Ty is excellent and always welcomes you to the social hour that every Monday ~ Wednesday evenings. There's enough 'snack's that you do not necessarily have to also buy dinner and the complimentary beer & wine makes winding down after a day of travel or work so much easier. There are great restaurant's within 5 miles distance and abundance of options for delivery. If you don't feel like ordering out, every room comes equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, microwave and cookware. There may be options at a pantry for crockpots, etc.; but I have not had the need to ask. There are usually at least 2 gas grills that are available and you can ask for grill utensils at the desk. Just be sure to clean them before you return them to be curtious. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. One thing I usually look at is the vent fans in the restrooms for the amount of dust. These are spot free that tells me they look at every detail in keeping the rooms spotless. The bed, sheets and comforters are luxurious for a hotel on this level. There are at least 4 pillows on the bed. My preference is a cool room with warm and comfortable covers and this place never disappoints. In fact, a few times it is too cool in the room as they don't seem to restrict the temperature you can set during the night. I woke up at a chilling 65 degrees around 3am one evening or morning as most would say. The breakfast starts a little later than some, and can be a challenge if you need to be at work by 7am, but the offerings are very tasty and what you would expect for hot breakfast. There's usually 2 types of protein, bread and of course always a spot to make a pancake with the toppings! I've not tried the pool area, but can see it is well maintained. There is no algae or debris like leaves floating around. It is gated, so the little ones can just go in and out as they please. There is a very nice fire pit that can be started on request if it's not already going. OH! Did I forget? The laundry services at this, and most Staybridge hotels are free. You only need to pay for detergent, which is available at the front desk - or you can bring your own. There's usually a laundry basket in your room, I prefer to call it a suite when in the 1 bedroom accommodation. All of the above really makes your stay at the Staybridge Suites Houston East in Baytown much like a vaca
