The absolute best hotel I have visited. The rooms have the right size and are very well equipped, and all personnel are very helpful, friendly and professionel making the total experience just outstanding. We have decided to come back next year.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Lara Hotel in Bayeux at the end of August this year, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find that our room had been upgraded to one with a stunning view of the Cathedral. The room itself was immaculate and spacious, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The highlight of our stay at the hotel was undoubtedly the staff. They were incredibly friendly and warm, ensuring that we felt welcome and well-cared for throughout our visit. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We would not hesitate to stay at the Villa Lara Hotel again on our next trip to Bayeux. Highly recommended!

I just can’t adequately describe our experience, but I’ll give it a try. Staying at the Villa Lara was like being a guest in the home of a dear friend, not at all like staying in a hotel. Our beautifully appointed room and luxurious bath included every amenity. But it was the staff who made our stay so memorable Our days began with a delicious breakfast served with loving care by two friendly French women and our evenings ended with cocktails and conversation in the bar, which felt more like the living room, with Julian and Quentin, our bartenders. I’d be remiss if I failed to mention Muriel at the front desk, who made our dinner reservations each evening. We look forward to going back in the future.

We just returned from a two week trip through Brittany and Normandy. While we stayed at several really good hotels throughout the course of the trip, Hotel Villa Lara is in a class of its own. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Rooms were amazingly large and well appointed. The property is obviously well maintained. The location cannot be beat; in the heart of the old town just steps away from the Tapestry and the Cathedral. Hotel features a bar and an excellent breakfast buffet. But, it is the staff that really stands out. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind. Everyone went above and beyond in ensuring that we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We particularly enjoyed the company of Julian and his brother Philip (the owner) who made us feel very welcome and showed up to give us a send off on our last day. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Best hotel of the trip? Absolutely! Best hotel stay ever? Certainly possible! We loved it!

The rooms are beautiful, as are the common areas. The staff is very attentive. Everything is very clean and the breakfast was wonderful!

Incredible stay. We were a family with 3 adult children and decided to book a suite. It was fantastic. So much better than staying in 3 different rooms. The service at Villa Lara was 5 star and we are so thankful to the staff for providing us such a memorable vacation. Breakfast was delicious. I can't give this hotel higher marks.

Beutiful luxury boutique hotel. Clost to Bayeux Tapastry display. Clost to town so easy walk to restaurants. Superb staff, very accomodating. Small but comfortable bar area. Rooms were good sized with high end amenities. Great location to serve as a base to visit local sites. Will be going back

The staff were amazing!!! The hotel was everything we wanted, and the location was great. Would definitely stay here again. For our first time in Bayeux, we could not have picked a better place to stay. Breakfast was good and service was excellet
