Lovely small inn within walking distance of Bayeux village. Classy. Carole is a gracious host who provided excellent hospitality. Breakfast is outstanding. The sitting room and grounds are lovely and all rooms are comfortable and tastefully appointed. Spotless. On site, gated parking is a plus.

Amazing home with lovely bedrooms, living room and super delicious breakfast every morning. Our host went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as can be. Close and walkable to most activities as well. Definitely highly recommended!

We had a lovely time at this beautiful B&B in Bayeux. Carole is an amazing host—her home is absolutely beautiful, well-appointed, and immaculate, and her Normandy breakfasts are delicious. The B&B also has a great location—walking distance from the historic center of Bayeux and is very reasonably priced. Carole also provided us with very helpful information about car rentals, local restaurants, and places to see. I give Clos de Bellefontaine my highest recommendation—we will stay here again!

What can I say? A perfect stay! My husband and I stayed at this charming property in January. It was our first stop on our trip, and it was our favorite spot. From the second you enter, it'll charm you. The owners, Carole and Jérôme are the most lovely people that you could ever meet. We honestly thought that they were the perfect people to run a charming guest house. We so enjoyed chatting with them. They also have a couple of adorable pets that we got to visit with in the garden, which was a big bonus for us, as huge animal people. (Tell Bazile and Marcelle bonjour for us!) The grounds are impeccable, and there is a private parking space, which is not the most common thing to find. We were planning to drive all around the north coast so that was perfect for us. On that note, if you like to drive around on your own as we do.....we saw Mont Sainte Michele, St Malo, the Normandie beaches, and even went over to see Etretat. It was divine to drive around, and enjoy all of the sights. We stayed in 'Elegance', which was huge(!!) and beautifully appointed. A modern washroom with a cosy towel warmer, and the room was very serene, with glorious windows overlooking the garden. The mattress was particularly comfy. Neither of us sleep well as a rule, and we slept like champs while there. Breakfast, as many have noted, does not disappoint. Carole's house-made jams were a special standout for us. Local pastries, and a treat of a different local cheese every morning, with fresh fruits, etc. The parlor is a cozy spot to sit after a long day of touring around. We travel quite a lot, and we will always have a special fondness for Clos De Bellefontaine. I hope we'll visit it again one day, and in the meantime we will be sharing it with our fellow travel buddies.

Na onze aankomst een vriendelijk ontvangst door Carole die ons wegwijs maakte in het verblijf incl een plek voor onze auto op het afgesloten terrein met een code slot . Onze kamer was gesitueerd op de bovenste verdieping met 2 aparte bedden en een ruime en zeer nette badkamer in de hal op dezelfde verdieping, helaas geen douche maar alleen een bad. Verder elke morgen een overheerlijk onbijt met veel zelf gemaakte producten. 's Avonds konden we nog een lekker kopje koffie maken of een drankje drinken in de lounge ruimte. Omdat ons bezoek gericht was op de D-Day stranden had Carole voor ons een kaart gemaakt met de meest bezienwaardige plekken met een verwijzing naar de pagina's in het boekje D-Day Normandy, wij hebben deze tips zeker als zeer nuttig ervaren.

An elegant, chic home that is so beautifully decorated and located in the most convenient area...a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Carole is gentle and the perfect hostess and serves the most amazing breakfasts with flair. I recommend her home made jams..the rose was my favourite. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds and gorgeous decor. There is a garden to enjoy the spectacular colour of the sunrise. Merci.

Carole is a warm, welcoming and chic proprietor, thinking through guests’ needs. She has a library with books relevant to the region’s history and culture. And prepares extraordinary breakfasts. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our experience at this well located B&B and are grateful to Carole for making us feel so at home.

Wonderful experience for our 3 night stay at Clos De Bellefontaine. Carole has thought of everything including an email prior to our visit providing information to book dining reservations for restaurants that were otherwise fully booked and turning people away. We especially loved the freshly baked cake for breakfast and the French Bread and butter plus the apéritif. Thank-you Carole for meeting us during the afternoon to occupy our room. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.

My partner and I staid her in August for our visits to the WW2 beaches .Carole is an amazing host ,her breakfasts are legendary absolutely delicious and something different every day ,lemon cake, French toast and home made preserves WOW.Carole was also very helpful recommending restaurants and helping with travel . We had the twin room in the eaves ,it was so lovely had everything we needed and such comfortable beds . The garden is lovely but we were out and about so much we didn’t get to sit in it much. It was also a delight to rest in the lounge after a hard days sight seeing with a coffee and a calvados 👍 . It’s just a short walk from the lovely town of Bayeux and close to the train station where we also caught buses . I loved it at CDB ,I hope to return again and highly recommend it . J ai adore .
