My intended booking was at splendid hotel in lugano but once I went there I realised that it was at baveno 😅 ,so I took a taxi for 350 euro to go there . The front desk upgraded my rooms to lake views for 80 euro/night. The gym is for 12 euro /person, the breakfast is about average nothing special. The front desk are nice people but they put an extra service charge for that(optional). The view from the balcony was beautiful.

Needs refurbishing.Lovely position but very dated and not in a nice way.Arrogant waiter in charge of restaurant who wouldn’t let us sit outside for breakfast because we were with Cunard sun we hadn’t paid enough! Would not return also lost my husband’s luggage and didn’t seem in the least bit perturbed.

Hôtel 4 étoiles, mais pas de cafetière, pas de peignoir, pas de chaussons, pas de Kleenex, matelas très fermes, restaurant très moyen. Par contre le breakfast est excellent et le personnel aimable. Garage obligatoire à 20 €/nuit.

Leider nehmen wir keine guten Erinnerungen mit nach Hause. Es waren unsere Flittertage, haben dies auch so kommuniziert beim Reservieren. Wir sind nicht verwöhnt, wollten uns einfach mal ein schönes Hotel leisten für 4 Tage. Wir hatten auch keine Erwartungshaltung, doch nicht mal eine Gratulation, kamen ca 21.30 Uhr relativ müde an, kurze Info (dies war positiv, in welcher Sprache, ich kann glücklicherweise italienisch. Keine Frage: möchten sie noch etwas essen, wir erkundigten uns dann es die Möglichkeit gibt noch etwas zu trinken ev. an der Bar, was wir dann auch taten, da niemand vorbei kam (wir sassen auf der unteren Etage, oben war alles reserviert (!)) ging ich an die Bar um etwas zu bestellen. Der Kellner war überfordert alleine mit so vielen Gästen oder einfach unfreundlich, ich wurde nicht mal vertröstet mit "bitte einen Augenblick" nach 15 Minuten gab ich es auf, das gleiche mit meinem Mann, bis er sich dann etwas lauter bemerkbar machte, sehr. sehr schade, wundere mich, dass die Rezensionen immer nur positiv sind.

Ouderwets hotel, muffe geur, overal lawaai om je heen als je in jouw kamer zit, onvriendelijk personeel (alleen aan de receptie hele vriendelijke mevrouw), restaurant àlles behalve lekker (biefstuk droog en uitgebakken), lakens vuil, … Rond zwembad vuil kunstgras en ouderwets. Geen aanrader!

The location of the hotel is great, the beach is beautiful and the pool is nice. (Only the artificial grass by the pool gets very hot for your feet and I find it ugly). Our room was very small and a bit dated. I missed a night / reading lamp next to my bed. The bathroom was good, some extra towels could have been there. When we arrived we thought we would have a nice lunch. We found the kitchen very disappointing as well as the service of the restaurant / not friendly. Club sandwich (2 sandwiches on top of each other with some filling in between) and the other was something like fried seafood, these were also a lot less special than we had hoped. We expected the restaurant to be a lot better because of the location, number of stars in the hotel and the prices. The parking garage under the hotel was nice. Costs 20 euros per day. We had a card but it refused every time we drove in and out.
