Zel Punta Cana

Very great service at the beach: Ulice, ricardo and fabian they were phenomenal, the hotel was a great experience and plenty of great food and drinks

The hotel Was excelent. Te food, beautiful bedroom and good concept. Perfect place for relaxation. In the negury restaurante at the beach Ricardo pool consierge give me excelent and confortable Services.

This hotel was the best! I loved the smell from the moment I entered the lobby! Can't wait to go back! Eli, our butler, ws awesome!

Great resort for what we needed. Aesthetically pleasing, well designed spaces and rooms. Staff are generally friendly and each guest group is assigned a Zel rep who can book you into restaurants, recommend activities and give advice. If you are a keen runner, ask for Carlos Bautista, a great guy who is very keen to show guests around his home! He recommended a 6-7km loop of the 5 Melia hotels that was great and then he invited me to a local Saturday 8-10km at the nearby golf course with his friends and other locals. If you are looking for the true Zel experience that is advertised through the Mallorca and Costa Bravas locations, the Punta Cana outfit is trying to bring themselves up to speed but unfortunately are currently attracting American tourists with sometimes very young families. It is unclear why they are struggling to attract the fun mid 20s-30s demographic that they are targeting through all social media efforts. The wellness effort was not as encouraged or established as the Spain locations - the gym is sufficient until the resort increases capacity above 50%, the fitness studio has a range of classes each day with not much uptake, and the wellness spa was amazing but significantly overpriced at $200+ for a massage. Despite this, the Zel staff are making great efforts to try, with a poolside Verbena one evening and a beach club dinner with a live band and dj on Friday nights.
