The Swim Room offers a great view and semi-private pool. However, we stayed during the weekday so it seems like we had the pool exclusively to ourselves. Rated 3 stars for cleanliness because the tissue on our bedside table has that undesirable smell. Glass sliding doors are not regularly wiped clean because there are still marks left maybe from past guests. On a positive note, I'd like to commend the staff for their warm welcome and immediate response and action whenever they are called upon. Moreover, we loved the food served to us for our supper brought to our room up to our buffet breakfast. They have lots of food choices and different types of drinks. Also, the pool is well-maintained but I hope they clean it earlier before guests are allowed to swim. Overall, we had our money's worth during our stay at Hudor Resort.

Amenities is great and I love the idea of having a nice swimming pool with a view of the beach. The only thing is the pillows are a bit smelly.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so future guests know what to expect. We stayed during the first week of July. I want to start by saying that the staff were polite, accommodating, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself fell far below expectations. When we first checked into our room, it was completely unacceptable. The room had a strong musty smell, the floors were still wet as if they had just been mopped, and there was visible black mould on the ceiling. The bathroom was also unclean, and the towels were grey, heavily stained, and looked well past the point of replacement. It was clear that this room should never have been assigned to any guest. Mould is a health hazard, and the room should have been taken out of service until it was properly repaired and cleaned. I contacted reception immediately, and they kindly moved us to another room. The second room was an improvement as it had no visible mould, but cleanliness was still a major issue. The towels remained grey and stained even after requesting fresh ones. The bed sheets also had stains, although we were so exhausted from travelling that we decided to make do. Thankfully, I had packed my own towel. Another unpleasant surprise was that when we turned on the tap, yellow-coloured water came out initially and had to be left running before it cleared. After everything we had experienced, our confidence in the hotel’s cleanliness was gone. We had planned to spend time using the swimming pool and other facilities, but we no longer felt comfortable doing so. We also chose not to drink the bottled water provided in the room, as it appeared to be in refillable glass bottles that had been resealed, and the water had an unusual smell when opened. Before booking, I had read many positive reviews describing this as a hotel that exceeded its three-star rating. Sadly, our experience was the complete opposite. The online reviews gave us confidence, but the reality was incredibly disappointing. The breakfast buffet offered a reasonable variety of food, and once again, the restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the dining experience was affected by the number of flies around the buffet, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. There was also a made-to-order omelette station where orders were taken and delivered to the table. I ordered two omelettes but only received one. We also tried to order a mango shake while dining in the restaurant, but were told it had to be processed as room service, which meant paying an additional service fee. While these may seem like small issues on their own, combined with the overall concerns about cleanliness throughout the resort, they added to our disappointment. The only positives I can genuinely mention are the helpful staff and the fact that the hotel provides proper flip-flops instead of the usual disposable slippers. Also, be aware that a ₱1,000 cash deposit is required at check-in, so remember to bring cash. Once we checked out and received our deposit back, we couldn’t leave quickly enough. Sadly, despite the staff doing their best, the poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness completely overshadowed our stay. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because no guest should be placed in a room with visible mould or be expected to use stained towels and bedding. Unfortunately, this is not a hotel I would stay at again.

We enjoy staying here at Hudor Resort. Recommended for those who love relaxing space for perfect relaxation. The room are so cozy and the staff are friendly. We will definitely comeback.

We had a wonderful stay! At first, we were hesitant to book because we had read several negative reviews online. However, we decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did. When we arrived at the resort, we quickly realized that our experience was completely different. The place was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we were looking for. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. Thank you for making our vacation enjoyable and memorable. We would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back again!

Hotel is decent and I love the vibe. It has a unique design that reminds me of Boracay. The view is wonderful, the pool is one of the best in La Union, and the rooms are beautiful—honestly close to a 5-star experience. The rooms also have a work desk and complete amenities. I especially loved the lotion. I also want to say that I don’t like leaving reviews just to talk badly about people. These are really just rooms for improvement for the staff and also a caution for people booking, because I value both. I actually love this hotel and we are definitely coming back. I also really appreciated the customer service in this hotel. The guards, bell boys, and front desk staff were all good, responsive, and helpful. If I remember names, I always include them in reviews because good service deserves to be recognized. However, the restaurant service could still improve. You often have to tell them what to do before they do it. Food was fine though—decent compared to some overpriced hotels in La Union. One thing I really didn’t appreciate was being charged ₱200 for a missing teaspoon. We checked our bags thoroughly and are 100% sure we didn’t take it. It felt extremely overpriced for a teaspoon, but we just wanted to leave already, so I agreed to the charge. I’d suggest taking a video of everything in the room upon check-in and another before check-out, just to make sure you won’t get charged for any “missing” items. A few other things I noticed: I really disliked the shampoo because it dried my hair out badly. The pool water tasted like saltwater mixed with chlorine and also dried out my skin. The towels smelled strongly of bleach, which I personally didn’t appreciate, since that feels like another toxic exposure. We also occasionally noticed a septic tank smell in the bathroom—not too bad, but still noticeable. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, and we would still come back. I just hope these concerns can be improved.

The Resort is very nice and clean. It is very accessible and relatively new and the pools are so nice to dip in. The Beach is above average and kids friendly. The breakfast buffet is average and I think need to add up some food in the menu like bacon, sausages, variety of fruits etc. Overall the experience was nice and memorable!😍 Best view of sunset!
