PARKROYAL Penang Resort

Although many consider the Parkroyal to be the best hotel in Batok Tinggi, the actual stay was less than expected! Pros: 1. The hotel offers direct access to the beach, allowing children to play in the sand. 2. The rooms have been renovated and are equipped with newer amenities. 3. The children's pool features two water slides. While not thrilling, it's still fun enough for children. 4. The hotel is conveniently located near beach restaurants (for watching fire dances) and night markets (for shopping and dining). Convenience stores are also nearby, making it a decent option. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel lobby is currently under renovation, leaving almost no space at the check-in/check-out counter, making it very cramped and messy. 2. Upon check-in, my room wasn't ready yet, so I waited in the lobby bar. No staff were around, and it took quite a while before someone came to take my order. 3. The hair dryer in the room was fixed to the bathroom wall and couldn't be moved. The airflow was very weak, making it very unfriendly for children and those with long hair. 4. The room's soundproofing was extremely poor, especially the door, which was practically soundproof. During my two nights there, I was woken numerous times by noise in the hallway, and I could clearly hear conversations in the neighboring room! 5. The breakfast experience was also poor! Besides the lack of seating and the long wait to be seated, the staff's efficiency also needs improvement. Dishes and drinks often ran out for ages, and due to the large number of people dining there, the food counter was messy and dirty, and there was no prompt cleaning.

Everything is good, but the soundproofing is too poor. You can hear the children next door talking and crying. The hotel is very close to the beach and has its own swimming pool. Check-in is only available at 3 o'clock. If you arrive early, you can sit in the lobby and have a drink.

The hotel has direct access to the beach, the rooms have balconies, the sanitation is very clean, and there is a Chinese-speaking receptionist at the front desk.

The hotel checked in at 3pm. The room was clean and tidy. The sea view room had a good view. It was very close to Batu Ferringhi Beach. It was very convenient to play parasailing. I strolled around the hotel at night and saw someone proposing to me. There were a lot of fireworks. Hahaha
