The staff was polite and professional, the breakfast area was meticulously maintained during that time, everything in the hotel was clean. It's obvious that the staff takes pride in their work. We didn't use the pool or fitness area but did take a look. I would definitely stay here again.

If this is helpful, lemme know! Date= July, 2024 Name/location=Fairfield Inn, Battle Creek, MI Room=311 Comments= We stayed 5 days, Monday through Friday. We had to book a 5-day min stay to get the $99 deal, otherwise the hotel was ~$180 per night. First thing that greets you here as you pull in are 2 pot holes, so be cautious. This is a warning how the property is being neglected. Lazy review Pros- are location, good size room, mostly good staff, nice breakfast, bright outdoor lights, Cons-are getting run down, A/C dirty and runs poorly, our door left open, uninvited guest (story below) Improvements- a lot… this property desperately needs a remodel to fix the plethora of problems. FYI- Some things were 5 stars, some only 1… I felt generous to give to split it with a 3 start rating. Now, for lots of details 😊 Staff=B: Mostly Nice and helpful Housekeeping= Cleaned room every other day. Seemed pretty clean but my kid found someone’s panties under the sofa, they also left our door propped open for hours. Nicole was very nice but her smart mouth coworker needs to watch her attitude. Elevator= 1 in the center of the hotel. According to staff, it is out of service quite often. Handrail was duct taped during our stay until one day it was gone. Pet Friendly= No pets allowed came with Fridge= Small, freezer was frosted over so unable to get even a water in it. Room was This room is pretty spacious but the room was too warm (outside temps only in the 80s). We tried to turn down the temp by the thermostat on the wall and didn’t do anything. Called up front and they told us to use the thermostat on the wall, no trick to it but would move us if needed. I went to the window unit and tried the controls there and finally got it to run and had a very noisy fan noise. I pulled the filters and they were filthy (see pics). Turns out all the noise was the air struggling to get air through the blocked filters. Cleanliness- At first seems clean, but panties found under sofa and air filters filthy (see pic). Tv- good size (see pic) Bed= soft and clean Pillows= soft Heating and air= Had a hard time keeping the room cool during the day and wasn’t really very hot out (80s) but got frigid at night, has constant on option. The thermostat on the wall apparently is for looks only (see err pic). Shower/bath= large shower but no bath. The shower door handle was loose and eventually fell off. We told the front desk and 730 the next morning the maintenance man tried to walk into our room without so much as a knock! Good thing we had the bold slide across to lock the door. He did half apologize trying to justify himself with ‘I just wanted to fix this for you’. Yeah, well friggin KNOCK and get PERMISSION before you enter! Toiletries= Wall mount, not the best scent, not the worse Well lite= lighting in and out of room are good… Outdoor lighting is no joke. It’s brighter at night that during the day in our room so thank goodness for good curtain

Stayed one night. Overall, fine. Pluses: clean room, with standard Fairfield amenities. Good wifi. Nice towels. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Minuses: plugs in room limited and difficult to access (under desk, behind nightstand, etc.). Breakfast was pretty dismal: lumpy oatmeal, muffins in plastic, wrapped Jimmy Dean sandwiches sitting in a pan, sugary cereals. Nothing fancy but was fine for a single night and room rate was affordable.

This is very disappointing for a Fairfield Inn. The place is very outdated and dirty. The couch in the room was filthy, it had something spilled down the side of it. There was silicone peeling off of the corner of the wall, the bed said it was a king, but seemed much smaller than a king. The bathroom drain was full of hair, the carpet was dirty. The pool was cold and disgusting and the jets on the hot tub were broken, there were also no towels. The only saving grace was the staff, they were amazing. Always super friendly.

After a long two days of travel, finally made it to the inn and was given a room with two double beds on the first floor facing away from the parking lot. Also at check-in, I was given a little bag with some water and goodies; that was very nice of them to provide. The room was pretty basic, tv, microwave and dorm size refrigerator, but the beds were really comfortably and it was nice and quiet, away from the road. The only down side to the room was the security bar to the door of the room would remain in the lock position when entering/exiting the room, so I had to make sure the door completely closed otherwise, anyone would have access to your room. Kind of a security, safety issue there. Also, there was only one washer and one dryer which you need quarters to utilize. I got my coins from the front desk. I really enjoyed the lobby area as there were ample amount of seating and tables, their was a large screen tv and this area is where breakfast was held in. There were outlets so you could sit down with your laptop, phone to do work, or to just get out of your room. I enjoyed the updated vibe of the space - very warm and inviting, almost forgot to mention the free wifi; and I actual liked the breakfast - hard boiled and/or scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, bacon, wrapped breakfast sandwiches, waffle station, oatmeal with variety of toppings, bagels, bread, English muffin, juice station, coffee station, fresh fruit. The inn does have a swimming pool but it was closed but the jacuzzi/whirlpool was working. They also have a small gym with a treadmill, elliptical and some weights. Next, hotel is located just off the highway and on a Main Street so the location was great. Near places to eat, mall area and gas stations. Also, the inn had lots of parking. The staff were friendly and accommodating with a late checkout for me. Overall, nothing fancy but sometimes simple is best.

The crew at check in were very friendly and KK, Morning crew greeted us each time we passed the desk. Loved the goodies we found in our room upon arrival. Room was clean, AC unit a bit noisy and toilet a bit off center but overlook those because of service.

I always stay in a Fairfield when traveling because they are clean, close to the highway, and affordable. Of all of my stays, this one might be the exception. The hall on the second floor had very dirty carpet. The shower had soap scum in the corners. The attendant on duty left the desk unmanned much of the time. Won't use this particular Fairfield again.

The hotel is in a good location & room was clean & comfortable. We chose this hotel because Fairfield Inns offer full breakfast including many hot & cold items. Unfortunately, when we went down for breakfast at 8 am, they had run out of oatmeal and yogurt.

Place was dirty from the entrance to the rooms. Did not receive water or snack (Gold) when i asked about it they said that i was supposed to have it in my room and proceeded to charge me anyway for the water? Customer service was lacking. I will not stay there again and frankly I am considering switching hotel chains as this has been a frequent problem.
