La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge Siegen Lane

On a long road trip and needed a place to lay our heads down for the night. This hotel fit the bill. Located right off the interstate, area was good and price couldn’t be beat. While the room was a little tired, it was clean, bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure and water was hot (I can’t stand a cold shower!!).

We walked into the hotel. We purchased a room for the night. Once we retrieved our bags from our car, we found that the hotel was absolutely the filthiest hotel we had ever been in. There was graffiti carved into the elevator walls and in sharpie. There were smears of some semi-opaque substance all over the stainless steel of the elevator and walls. The floors throughout the areas we walked in were covered in dirt and debris, including cigarette butts. The state of this property is quite unbelievable considering the other La Quinta's we have stayed in over the years. We went to the room, opened the door and found a terrible smell to accompany the previously mentioned conditions. Absolutely the worst hotel management, maintenance and lack of cleanliness that we have ever experienced at ANY hotel. We could not stay in this hotel. When we went to the front desk and were met with a very rude employee who said, "it's canceled on our end", but she couldn't give us written documentation about that. She said we would have to call in the morning. We did call only to be confronted with another rude, and disrespectful person who also said they couldn't help. They told us to call corporate. A week later, once we discovered that the money was never refunded, we did contact Wyndham Corporate and were offered 3000 points for our trouble. (3000 Wyndham points pays for about half of a 125.00 room). We asked them for our refund and expressed that we were not interested in the points. After several emails and having to actually produce the receipt for the Holiday Inn that we ended up staying in, corporate told us it wasn't their problem and to contact site management. After two weeks and a few more phone calls to the hotel, we got our $100.00 back. Wow is all I can say. Wyndham corporate is just as disappointing as the hotel was. Keep your points, I will not walk into another Wyndham hotel as long as I live. Siegen Lane is the filthiest name brand hotel I have ever experienced. Too bad there isn't a negative star rating...Absolutely terrible hotel and staff!

it was great stay .The staff is super friendly. The rooms are nice and have lots of space This hotel room was perfect for us. We had an awesome time staying here, and the location was perfectly situated close to the airport. We will be back here for sure
