Excellent hotel with excellent service very easy to check in very clean and very friendly staff. Room was excellent and d the price was very reasonable for our length of stay. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely destroyed by the closure of the restaurant. Another example of the closing down restaurants and replacing them with mediocre classless feeding rooms. The whole family pub is what used to sell premier inn's. Not anymore, they have decided to close down most of the Beefeaters and Brewers Fayres and replace them with premier inn restaurants that are only open to hotel guests (when they're open at all) most of the staff have left. Now what you have is an cold empty pub, with only a handful of guests, choosing nasty food from a shrunken down menu. There is absolutely NO ATMOSPHERE at all. Honestly, its like a travel lodge now, just without the migrants. The CEO needs to resign and the shareholders need to read this. Get rid of that lame duck CEO now before you reduce your business to nothing more than a footnote in the history of hotels.

After having staying in a Premier Inn in Glasgow, I was most impressed by the updated features of the Premier Inn at Bathgate, but I also upgraded to a premium room, and it was absolutely worth it since we are on a longer trip and the room offered more amenities as well: small fridge, lots of tech outlets, lots of light switches and fixtures--it was really an excellent experience.

Booked last minute when up visiting Edinburgh and we were pleasantly surprised by the recent refurbishment of this hotel. The rooms are modern and fresh but we were pleased to see the same friendly faces working on the desk in the morning. The pub next door was shut but the receptionist couldn’t have been any more helpful with helping us order food from a local takeaway after a long drive. Always enjoy staying in this hotel and look forward to our next stay before Christmas. Keep up the good work!

Stayed here about 10 years ago for the same reason. Good prices for rooms not too far from the venue. Staff friendly. I was in room 205 a I didn’t want to move this room give it was next to all my family which I needed for my toddler and my parents, but my room was 24-25 degrees Celsius the whole time. It was so uncomfortable to get ready for a wedding and there was no way of controlling it. The window was open, the fan was on. It was really challenging. The bathroom was stinking though, and I mean foul. We were literally gagging whenever we had to use it. A horrible sewage smell. The bed in this room was also really quite old. Normally Premier inn beds you’re guaranteed a good mattress and a decent nights sleep regardless of what’s going on. Not so much in room 205. Needs an upgrade, a plumber and a heating engineer unfortunately.

Upon arrival there was scaffolding and metal barriers around the restaurant and part of the car park, upon check - in I asked about food options at the hotel and was informed that the hotel was only serving breakfast as the restaurant was closed, the closest option for an evening meal was 10 minutes away in Bathgate or Livingston, as I was driving I was unable to enjoy and alcoholic drink while dining out. During my stay I had a late return one evening, about 11pm, luckily a member of staff was available and informed me that the main door was locked and I had to use my room card to unlock the main door for entry, I feel like that could have been mentioned upon check - in. The room was clean but felt too cold upon entry, I had to adjust the room heating which was not difficult to do, overall the room met my needs but I felt that the staff could have provided additional information upon check - in.
