Due to long charging queues at Swedish charging stations, I arrived 15 minutes after the reception closed at 10 PM. The door was locked, the lights were off, and there was no phone number on the door. When calling the phone number on the website, I only got an automatic answering machine. This resulted in me not being able to use the accommodation I had already paid for, and I had to pay for accommodation at another hotel with a night reception.

Rasta Halldsåsen Restaurant Elegantly decorated charming restaurant. We drive by on our vacation several times a year. It’s a popular truck-stop. Motorists, tourists and truckers from all over Europe visit this eatery. They have really impressive choices of dishes, that include Scandinavian, European as well as American/international cuisine. On top of that, the meals are freshly made and mouth-wateringly delicious. You will always get good service with a smile. If you have food allergy, the girls are always ready to help you with information on the ingredients. There are several eating areas decorated in both casual and formal styles for lunch and dinner. There is also a covered outdoor sitting area, to enjoy the sun, if you prefer that. It’s a delightful and elegant atmosphere at the same time, with green plants, stylish lamps, paintings, and furniture. It’s comfy, it’s pleasant, it’s charming, it’s relaxed. You can choose to sit in the area facing the highway, or you can choose to sit in the other area facing the green forest. We usually check out “dagens ret”, meal of the day. For example, you can order Korv Stroganoff with rice, or fiskegratang, or lasagna. We often order breaded fish with boiled potatoes, Swedish meatballs with mashed potato, (also available meat-free), smoked salmon, spicy chicken with fries, potato pancake, Schnitzel, and of course several types of burgers, absolutely fresh and flavourful. Also a lot to choose from lighter meals, heavy meals, as well as children’s dishes. Drinks, refills and salad from the saladbar are included. In the end you can relish their cakes along with a cup of fuming coffee. If you are on a road trip on your way to or from a Swedish vacation this summer, give this place a try. Enjoy delectable meal, reasonable price and peaceful atmosphere. Incredibly nourishing for both body and mind.

Clean, quiet, friendly staff, safe, relatively affordable.

Location is near the highway, but the traffic doesn´t disturbe. Rooms are spotless, the restaurant has quality and the staff is friendly and helpful. While you are there you are also very close to the beautiful town of Båstad
